Freedom fighters were jailed, tortured, exiled, and executed. Many people also faced pressure to abandon their traditions, culture, and beliefs under colonial policies and institutions

Lancashire’s mills got rich. Indian weavers got ruined

So yeah, pretending the British Empire didn’t profit from India is pure revisionist history.
