@BURDETTR I didn’t always agree with Mike’s doom and gloom, but he did provide insightful perspective and balanced the unbridled boosterism of the LA establishment
Don’t miss the @NBCLA news at 11pm tonight! @DLBA chair elect Alan Pullman will be speaking about the @studioneleven/@DLBA collaboration to demonstrate how we might safely Reopen Main Street! #supportsmallbusiness#DTLB
@awalkerinLA@RaviBhalla Alissa- our afternoon demonstration in Long Beach yesterday of how easy it is to convert valuable curb space to much needed expanded and safe dining zones for restaurants
@RobertGarciaLB Mayor Garcia- I'm so glad you are taking the initiative on this- Long Beach can continue being a leader in livable cities. See some of our thoughts attached https://t.co/HYjGdI1PQP
Fascinating piece by @jennakchandler about how Bellflower, a small southeastern LA city, is getting its first homeless shelter. It's scheduled to open in a couple weeks. https://t.co/W4zar9S7Qu
Curbside pickup survey:
4 people on foot🚶🏽♀️
3 people on bikes 🚲
1 person in car 🚗
1 good dog 🐶
What they told me:
Sidewalks are not shaded enough to wait when it’s hot.
There should be a dedicated parking space out front.
We need more bike racks.

We’ve had fun designing this “brewery resort” with the always innovative #LABHoldings and #ModernTimes as a unique adaptive reuse project in #Anaheim https://t.co/Lq8LRYIBqi
@BrianAddisonLB@vox My take- building more stuff can create some good (and some not so good) outcomes, but YIMBYs would be more effective being clear that more affordable housing may not be the primary result-there are honestly better ways to do that.
Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy #ExperienceElenda! We hope you had a great time. 👍 The city will use the feedback gained today to finalize plans for permanent improvements on Elenda Street, to be installed next year 🛣🔨
