Light can create matter.
A single high-energy photon (like those in gamma rays or ultra-powerful lasers) can transform into an electron-positron pair when it interacts with a heavy particle, like a nucleus. This phenomenon is called pair production, and it only happens under extreme conditions.
In other words, under the right circumstances (such as near neutron stars, black holes, or during high-energy cosmic events) pure light can literally materialize into the building blocks of the universe.
