The Bells of Notre Dame, one of the signature sounds of Paris. Apparently the towers are intact. We can only hope the bells have survived. This is a brief excerpt of a much longer stereo recording made in 1998.

@NPRinskeep Eleanore's report this morning mentioned the bell towers were spared. Strangely, no mention of the fate of the bells on NPR or any news outlet. Steve, I've got a great soundscape recording of the Bells of Notre Dame if you're interested.
@alikodjakNPR A health insurance issue that touches the lives of millions: Medicare doesn't cover annual physicals. They cover a Wellness Visit, which is barely more than a conversation. Why doesn't Medicare cover the cornerstone of preventive medicine?
@LynnRLevy Listening to first episode of Habitat - well done!- wondering if the Biosphere will be mentioned - similar set-up. The did the team who designed the Habitat draw from this previous experiment? Regards; Jim
