“Honestly, I’ve watched that incident so many times, and I still struggle to understand what happened. Every time they show the replay, I find myself shouting at the television. I don’t know how you leave your goal, come out for a one-on-one challenge and raise your knee that high towards another player’s chest.

What exactly are you trying to achieve in that situation?

As a goalkeeper, you have to understand the danger of that kind of challenge. You can come out and clear the ball without putting another player’s safety at risk.

“What really hurts me is that football is supposed to bring people happiness. We play this game to entertain millions of people, to create memories and to give supporters something to celebrate. Nobody should go onto a football pitch and never come home again.

“And now, Owono will wake up tomorrow, put on his boots and probably return to training at some point.

But what about Jesús de Miguel’s family?

What happens to the people who were waiting for him at home?

What do you tell his parents,

his brothers,

his friends? They have lost someone they can never replace. I don’t think we spend enough time thinking about the families who are left behind after tragedies like this.

“I also think we need to have a serious conversation about punishment.

A red card is a football punishment. But when an incident has consequences this devastating, can we honestly say that a red card is enough?

I’m not saying we should rush to judgment without an investigation, but if reckless conduct is established, the punishment must reflect the seriousness of what happened.

In the most serious cases, I believe a lifetime ban should be considered. Players need to understand that there is a responsibility that comes with stepping onto a football pitch, and that responsibility includes protecting one another.

“I’m not saying this because I want to see another footballer’s career destroyed. I’m saying it because we cannot keep treating player safety as something secondary. If stronger consequences are necessary to prevent another family from experiencing this kind of tragedy, then football authorities must be prepared to act.

“My deepest condolences go to Jesús de Miguel’s family, his teammates, everyone at Tenerife and all those who loved him. I cannot imagine their pain. And I hope they are given all the support they need during this incredibly difficult time.

“Rest in peace, Jesús. No football match should ever end with a family losing someone they love.”

There doesn’t always need to be a catalyst, although the dev has continued to deliver with that as well. It comes from a dedicated community who’s DCAing on every local bottom. It comes from a dedicated group who sees the value of the project.

As supply is continually burned and more of that dwindling supply gets into the hands of long term holders, there’s something called a supply crunch. The sellers are out, and it takes very little buy pressure to produce green candles. Green candles produce fomo and leads to more buy pressure, I.e whales who trade on bigger volume moves.

The next leg up happens, and it’s usually violent. The holder base expands, we find a new trading range norm, and the community grows as more people learn about the value of the product. Think longer term, think bigger. Have patience bc projects like this rarely come around
