@KahlonRav@AndrewMercierBC Some simple Qs
1. What additional protections will be provided to landlords against bad tenants?
2. If you keep making it less desirable to provide rental units in a housing crisis, who will provide all these rental units we so desperately need?
3. Do you ever consult industry?
@DailyHiveVan Soaring equals going from 9 in 10,000 to 14 in 10,000. Relatively large jump but historic average is closer to 25 in 10,000 so still very low. Not saying there isn’t an issue but let’s look at historic averages as a benchmark.
@RobShaw_BC@TheOrcaBC@Glacier_Media Welcome to BC where those who are able to afford homes and potentially a vacation home are seen as villains and someone causing housing unaffordability, so we should make them pay for what “they’ve done”
@COCVancouver You’re right. Everyone deserves a home and everyone deserves to feel safe in their community. Interesting that your stakeholder info differs from mine. I’ve challenged the stakeholders to provide assurances to the community, which they haven’t. Transparency is a must.
@NorthShoreNews@NorthShoreNews I was there, presented, a long with a number of my constituents, I have a petition with a growing number of participants...if you a reasonably balanced discussion on it, I'd welcome an interview.
@nick_laba Strong show of support is a bit of a misnomer as many of those in support don't live next to it or even in DNV, work for the organization and were specifically invited via a call to action by certain Councillors and strategic partners...
@alexconconi@SlackHQ But of course lol 🤦🏼♂️ . So many business use for tracking of client interactions and process, integration with ticketing and lead gen would be invaluable.
@SteveSaretsky Spoke to a client last night, they were asking if they could sell/swap with an investor so the investor can port their mortgage to a new property and get new tenants at current rates vs being stuck with below market rents that they can't increase...things will get creative.
