#Climate resilience can no longer wait.
Ghosts of the mountains do exist.
The first-ever photographic record of the elusive Eurasian Lynx in Sikkim is a significant moment for India’s wildlife conservation story. Every such discovery reminds us how much nature still has to reveal.

It was captured by a camera trap deployed during a long-term Snow Leopard and Rangeland Monitoring Programme jointly conducted by the Sikkim Forest and Environment Department and WWF-India. Every wildlife death tells a story. Most go unreported.
A snake on a road. A deer in a canal. An elephant hit by a train.
Alone, these feel like isolated events. Together, thousands of observations reveal patterns and patterns can save lives.
The Roadkills India app is now live — a citizen science effort to map wildlife deaths on roads, railways, canals and powerlines.
Notice it. Record it. Report it.
Cyclist, birder, forest staff, traveller, or simply someone who cares you can contribute.

Until somebody in #china keeps thinking #rhino horns are #aphrodisiacs, the animals will keep dying. This is how rhinos are killed and horns are removed and then they transported to china through #Myanmar. This one is old picture from #India.
Rhino #poachers are ruthless and they kill rhinos then remove the horns with sharp knifes.
Here is the recent story on how our teams busted one of international rhino poaching gang and took them to logical conclusion. Took us few years.

At Kakoijan, Assam golden langurs crossed the first experimental hanging bridge over the highway.
