@saptesh@ajinkyashetty Multiplexes share from net:
Week 1 : 50%
Week 2: 42%
Week 3 : 37%
After Week 3 : 30%
The higher first week share is one of the reasons why they try to squeeze in as many screens as possible in the first week and push for a higher box office collection.
@saptesh@ajinkyashetty The Theatres get upto 50% of net sales. Remaining with Producer. So the higher the sale the more the theatres/ producers make. The producer does not buy shows
@ajinkyashetty@saptesh Since I follow general trade giving some math. A occupancy of 65 percent on it’s second day, despite releasing on over 5500 screens with over 20,000 shows a day gave a 70+ cr nett. With the volume of shows a 30%-40% occupancy will still give real high collections.
