@ejpreston@AuronMacintyre Given how much authority the Constitution delegates to the states, it even makes *more* sense to look to the state laws to understand the public policy that the Founding generation pursued, rather than focusing on a few significant characters
@ejpreston@AuronMacintyre I don't think it's intellectually dishonest at all, if anything it's your position that's intellectually dishonest by reducing the "Founders" to a limited pool who agree with your views rather than taking into account the public law of the Founding generation as a whole
