@kyuuin_@RandomGuy1399@kos_data this doesn't mean those asylum applicants stay forever, if their application is denied, then they have to leave, which happens all the time. 135000 got deported last year in the EU, which was a 21 % compared to the previous year
@kyuuin_@RandomGuy1399@kos_data that fine is paid if a country refuses asylum applicants, because frontline states like Italy and Greece have to shoulder that burden instead. it finances the admin in Italy and Greece for asylum applicants, because those countries first ports of entry.
@kyuuin_@RandomGuy1399@kos_data Do you genuinely think the EU sanctions for "random reasons" and not for substantive ones? Plus getting money comes with attached strings, if you refuse to abide by those strings then obviously the other side can choose to withhold it. The money isn't free
@AlexDemSoc_161@Teunemansvb The differences are huge. SPD introduced BΓΌrgergeld in the last govt, CDU is scrapping it. SPD and Greens to push for a ton of more investment and reforms but get sabotaged.
Also usually those coalitions would have been with the tighest of majorities and Die Linke is unreliable
@jerzydejm@Rx410 A decade or so ago, PiS-aligned media obsessed over Erika Steinbach, when she is a fringe politician and the political consensus since the 90s is that Germany ought to work/reconcile with Poland. There is 0 acknowledgement of this on the Polish right. Ignorance in order to hate
@Rx410 Yeah it's just wielded as a cudgel in the same way how Azov is wielded against supporting Ukraine. It's not smth to be fixed or worked on, it's smth to infinitely use as a political tool to rally a bunch of stupid people that don't know or want to know any better
@Lucas_Stockholm Minnesota did it and Republicans did a hackjob to discredit it. Can't have anything nice when half of a society is willing to lie just to destroy good policies
@Lucas_Stockholm People are dooming about liberal democracy, because the platform brainrots them into slopulism by inventing problems that aren't real and then pretending populism solves them.
@MathTheBelgian@CHAEMARST0N Most of those countries wouldn't even come close to apologising for any of the atrocities they have committed against their own neighbours and own people
@MikegazaurusR@Rx410 "since the start of the war" is absolutely not true lol and again different military equipment becomes differently valueable. Ukraine doesn't even need them anymore and Germany has maintained close relations with Ukraine despite not delivering Taurus, so...?
