the challan with the bank payment and update the tax credit, so that the outstanding demand may be closed immediately.
This is not a complaint against any officer. It is only a request for closure of an already paid demand.
Thank you for your prompt action.

Grievance raised in this regard.
45+ days have been passed, with multiple times Rectification request filed, email exchanged with IT dept. provided same details again n again, denial of outstanding demand on portal.
Request for closure, not dragging.
@IncomeTaxIndia@DARPG_GoI
Paid the Self-Assessment Tax, filed rectification multiple times as advised & even got the request acknowledged—yet demand keeps coming, sometimes with my PAN and someone else’s name.
Impressive automation! Perhaps verification should be automated too
@IncomeTaxIndia@DARPG_GoI@FinMinIndia@PMOIndia When issue is simple reconciliation of tax paid with the challan and bank details, this doesn't require call.
As informed your team has called 2-3 times earlier also in last 10 days.
It simply requires closure by reconciliation at your end.
#CPGRAMS Request intervention
@IncomeTaxIndia@DARPG_GoI@FinMinIndia@PMOIndia Small issue self assessment tax paid but IT department is not able to reconcile it for last 45+ days, despite provided all relevant details and filed Rectification request twice with challan & Bank payment details. Dept sent 3 times demand, 4 times email, but not reconciling.

- despite making payment on time &
- subsequently filing the rectification request thrice as advised by the CPC office_Blr.
What's more is expected, kindly let us know.

@IncomeTaxIndia@FinMinIndia I've already shared required details on the given email id 4d back, after sharing details, I received 2 calls - one asked to file Rectification request again - which I did, another asked to revert on outstanding demand on portal - that also I did again.
Issue not yet resolved.
@IncomeTaxIndia Still no challan adjustment/closure.
Why should a taxpayer be required to repeatedly submit different requests when the tax has already been paid?
Kindly verify the challan, adjust the payment and close the demand. I've sent email also on above email id on 1-Sep. @FinMinIndia
@IncomeTaxIndia Self-Assessment Tax was already paid on 27-Jul-2026. Yet the same amount continues to show as outstanding.
As advised by IT Officer, I filed a Rectification Request again on 2-Sep (earlier filed on 12-Aug and again responded to the demand on 3-Sep.
