Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Punjab remembers reverentially the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand Ji on his birth anniversary. National Sports Day is celebrated in India every year on 29th August to commemorate his birth anniversary.
ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਫੁੱਲਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਲ 2023 ਵਿੱਚ ਨਵੀਂ ਖੇਡ ਨੀਤੀ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਕੋਚਿੰਗ, ਖੇਡ ਸਮਾਨ, ਰਿਫਰੈਸਮੈਂਟ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਕਲੱਸਟਰ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀਆਂ 1000 ਖੇਡ ਨਰਸਰੀਆਂ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ, 2024 ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪੜਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ 260 ਨਰਸਰੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੂਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੋਹਰੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨਵੀਂ ਖੇਡ ਨੀਤੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਖੇਡ ਨੀਤੀ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਕੌਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਗਦ ਇਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਖੇਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯੁਵਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਪੰਜਾਬ 79ਵੇਂ ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਖ-ਲੱਖ ਵਧਾਈਆਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਓ, ਦੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖੀਏ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਲਈ ਯਤਨ ਕਰੀਏ।
ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ-ਪੱਧਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੇਰ-ਏ-ਪੰਜਾਬ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਲੀਗ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ੋਰਦਾਰ ਵਕਾਲਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸ ਕਦਮ ਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਕ੍ਰਿਕਟ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਪੱਧਰ 'ਤੇ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟਾਂ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਸੁਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ 18.95 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਲਾਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਇਨਡੋਰ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਕੰਪਲੈਕਸ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਿੰਥੈਟਿਕ ਟਰੈਕ, ਬੈਡਮਿੰਟਨ, ਬਾਕਸਿੰਗ, ਜੂਡੋ, ਕੁਸ਼ਤੀ, ਬਾਸਕਟਬਾਲ, ਵਾਲੀਬਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਈਕਵਾਂਡੋ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਉਪਲੱਬਧ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ।

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਨਵੀਂ ਖੇਡ ਨੀਤੀ ਤਹਿਤ 1000 ਖੇਡ ਨਰਸਰੀਆਂ ਸਥਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪੜਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ 260 ਖੇਡ ਨਰਸਰੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਉਤੇ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਰਸਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਧਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਖੇਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯੁਵਕ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਸਾਈਕਲ ਦਿਵਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਾਈਕਲ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਣ ਤੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸਰੀਰ ਤੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰੋਗ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਸਾਈਕਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵੀ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਹੈ। ਆਓ, ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਈਕਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇਣਾ ਸਿੱਖੀਏ।
