@DelhiPolice Dear DP guys, we respect you, for everything you do, keeping the city in order, keeping citizens safe. But, this is not how the State's machinery should respond to lawlessness-"uploading videos", justifying action. If the protestors resort to hooliganism, dehi tod do sabki.
Dear Maj Khushboo,
When an officer carries military credentials into the public domain to offer tactical guidance on women’s safety, the responsibility is absolute. Good intentions cannot substitute for sound operational doctrine. Recommending a .177 CO₂ Glock replica as a self-defence weapon for civilian women is not simply bad advice—it is an invitation to catastrophe.
Beyond the tactical fallacy of the tool itself, your demonstration compromised the cardinal foundations of firearms handling.
1. Disregard for the Four Cardinal Rules of Firearm Safety
In tactical instruction, there is no such distinction as "just an airgun." Muscle memory and safety discipline are immutable. Your video compromised every foundational safety doctrine:
Rule 1: Treat Every Weapon as Loaded Casual manipulation, brandishing inside a domestic space, and treating a replica loosely breeds fatal muscle memory should a civilian ever handle an actual firearm.
Rule 2: Never Point a Muzzle at Anything You Do Not Intend to Destroy The muzzle consistently swept uncontrolled arcs, including camera operators and non-target backdrops. Muzzle discipline must remain absolute at all times.
Rule 3: Keep Your Finger Off the Trigger Until Sights Are on Target Positive index-finger placement along the frame was repeatedly broken. Under sudden auditory or physical startle response, that finger contracts, causing negligent discharge.
Rule 4: Be Certain of Your Target and What Lies Beyond It Displaying and operating a projectile device in casual domestic environments ignores ricochet mechanics and non-target backstops.
2. The Operational Fallacy of a CO₂ Replica for Personal Protection
Advising a woman to reach into a handbag for a .177 air pistol during a violent encounter ignores the realities of close-quarter street violence:
Zero Terminal Ballistics: A .177 lead pellet or steel BB propelled by a 12g CO₂ cylinder produces negligible kinetic energy. It generates superficial pain, not hydraulic shock or central nervous system shutdown. Pain compliance fails against an assailant driven by adrenaline, rage, or narcotics; it merely enrages them.
Guaranteed Lethal Escalation: A replica looks identical to a Glock 17. The moment a woman draws it, she escalates a dispute to a lethal encounter. If the assailant possesses a real firearm or an edged weapon, they will use lethal force without hesitation, leaving her holding a toy against lethal steel.
Loss of Weapon Retention in the Ambush Zone: Street ambushes occur within zero to three feet. Untrained individuals cannot retain a full-sized frame in a grapple. An attacker will disarm her in seconds and use that heavy metallic frame to inflict severe blunt-force trauma on her.
Mechanical Failure Under Survival Stress: Between puncturing a CO₂ seal, slow pressure decay over weeks in a purse, and the fine-motor dexterity required to disengage safeties under acute tachycardia, the platform is prone to failure in a crisis.
Law Enforcement Engagement Threat: If a woman brandishes what appears to be a black service pistol in public, responding police or armed security units will perceive an active lethal shooter, placing the victim under direct friendly-fire threat.
3. Practical Doctrine: Legitimate EDC and Realistic Protection
Tier 1 (Non-Lethal EDC): Deploy proven stopping tools like major capsaicinoid pepper gel, high-lumen strobe flashlights, or discreet impact/edged tools instead of ineffective toy replicas.
Tier 2 (Empty-Hand Combatives): Train extensively in situational awareness, threat profiling, boundary setting, and biomechanical striking to create an immediate escape window.
Tier 3 (Lawful Lethal Defense): If a threat genuinely necessitates a firearm, secure a lawful license for a compact civilian calibre (.22 LR / .32 ACP) backed by rigorous holster-draw and retention training.
Please remember, We must equip our citizens with realistic survival doctrine, not lethal liabilities disguised as solutions.
🙏
How? By filing cases under the "Atrocious" Act against erudite professors in premier institutions for preventing "young talent" from cheating in examinations.
"IIT Humanities departments are saturated with individuals committed to undermining India. Our premier institutions are becoming havens for Urban Naxal sympathisers."
A timely warning by @JNU_official_50 VC. An essay of stunning clarity that must be read. https://t.co/HmZdMSU5kf
This is the reply by Delhi police after @BhaiPreetSingh exposed a Pentecostal faith-healing operation in Delhi Janakpuri’s Hyatt Centric hotel yesterday
We have decided to legally hold the police accountable for this post
How the police investigated the matter in minutes, how they discovered the religious status of 500 people in minutes - they would have to officially answer
Dhanyawad to all those who joined us in questioning this post. We are constantly pushing for institutional accountability and action
@BhaiPreetSingh@SanjeevSanskrit
did my https://t.co/zANOEvvHvH at IIT Bombay and my PhD at IIT Delhi. I've been a professor for 14 years now. In 22 years of watching the IIT/IIIT system closely, I have never once witnessed a teacher discriminate against a student on the basis of caste.
During my https://t.co/zANOEvvHvH, most of us had no idea what caste our batchmates belonged to. Many of my close friends were SC/ST. We never discussed it. It never entered any conversation or decision. Not once. Our exposure to the humanities department was limited, though — the term "Brahmanical patriarchy" didn't even exist back then.
As a teacher, I don't ask a student's name before solving their doubt. Often I don't know their name at all — some of my classes have 300+ students. We treat them all the same. So does every colleague I know. So did every professor who taught me.
Social media has now filled vulnerable students' heads with a lot of manufactured grievance about caste discrimination that, in my experience, doesn't exist.
Dear @Javedakhtarjadu. I'm afraid your response is as boring and overloaded as your similes and metaphors. When countered with facts, you shift the goalpost, bring in the RSS, berate the right wing, take refuge in context, cushion the bigotry, and claim Kafirs were Colonialists not Hindus.
I know countering you again is like watering a cactus and praying for leechis, but in the hope that all that knee massaging with Doctor Ortho would have sprouted some neurons, here goes:
You asked for a source because you said the quote was “quite unlike” Azad’s “lifelong sociopolitical stances.” I gave you the source: Calcutta, 27 October 1914, published in Khutbat-e-Azad. The words are his. That should have ended the enquiry. It did not. So let us walk through your new script, line by line.
1. “The khutbats were about Khilafat and British colonialism.”
Yes. That is what I wrote. Maulana Azad was telling Indian Muslims that a Turk’s battlefield thorn must be felt in a Hindustani Muslim’s heart; that Millat-e-Islam is one body; that friendship and enmity are for the religion of Allah. Then he quoted Quran 48:29 and added his own gloss: be extremely hard against disbelievers, extremely kind among yourselves, and do not pass over this as if you had not heard it. You asked for the when and where. You received both. “It was about Khilafat” is not a rebuttal. It is the context in which he said it.
2. “To claim he was quoting this about the Hindus of India will not be true. The Kafir here was the colonialist.”
I did not say the 1914 speech was a municipal circular against the Hindus of Howrah. I quoted what Azad quoted: a Quranic verse about kuffar, and his commentary on unbelief, Tawhid, and hardness toward disbelievers. If Azad had meant “kafir = only the British officer,” he knew Urdu enough to say Angrez. He did not. He used the Book’s word, then told his flock not to skip it.
And if “kafir” in Azad’s mouth was a temporary colonial nickname, kindly explain the 1920 Hijrat fatwa, published in Ahl-e-Hadith of Amritsar, in which he said Indian Muslims had no choice but to migrate, and that those who stayed and kept connection with “the enemy of Islam” would themselves be counted as the enemy of Islam. That is not a lecture on income-tax collectors. That is a theology of the land.
3. “When Ataturk took over, Azad called it a closed chapter and condoned the secular government.”
Men change. Texts do not. If later Azad made peace with the death of the Caliphate, good for the later Azad. It does not unsay 1914, nor the Khilafat years, nor Masala-e-Khilafat, nor the call that any government hostile to Turkey was hostile to Islam, not the belief in the Quranic verse damning the Kafirs. You began by saying the paragraph was unlike his lifelong stances. Lifelong includes the years he spent as a pan-Islamist firebrand. Evolution is not an eraser. It is a timeline.
4. “Read his Calcutta High Court statement. An honour no member of the Mahasabha or RSS was ever given.”
Sedition charges from the Raj are not a unique family heirloom. Tilak got them. Aurobindo got them. Savarkar was given two life terms and sent to Cellular Jail, where the honour included the oil mill, the lash, and years in a cell the size of a cupboard.
And of course, knowing your pitiful knowledge of Indian History, I guess you would not know legendary RSS names like Devipad Chaudhary, Jagatpati Kumar, Anna Saheb Deshpande, Ramakant Keshav, Vasantrao Oak, Narayan Singh, Chandrakant Bhardwaj, Dada Naik Chimur, Baburao Begade, Lala Hansraj, Balaji Raipurkar who participated in our freedom struggle and were jailed or shot.
5. “Azad was in British jails for nine years. Name one from your right wing who can match that.”
Vinayak Damodar Savarkar: roughly a decade in Kala Pani, further years in mainland jails, then thirteen years of internment in Ratnagiri. Sentence on paper: fifty years. Conditions: not Ahmednagar Fort with time to write Ghubar-e-Khatir.
By the way, you might know that your great-great-grandfather Fazl-e-Haq Khairabadi was also incarcerated at Kala Pani. What you might not know, or would want to hide, is that he wrote a grovelling mercy petition to the British, pleading to be released.
6. “In 1946 Jinnah refused to shake Azad’s hand. He hated Azad for his patriotism.”
How does this turn “be severe against the kafirs, merciful among themselves” into a sonnet about communal harmony? A man can spend 1946 refusing Partition and still have spent 1914 telling Indian Muslims that their first body is the ummah. Fairness is holding both pages open. What you are doing is hiding the 1914 page and waving the 1946 one like a flag.
7. “Your reference to Rahul Gandhi was unnecessary, I expect decency and class.”
And I expected you to have some sense of humour. The PS was a reminder that this is the second time I have had to fetch your hero’s paperwork. Last time it was Nehru’s India: books banned, editors sacked, films blocked, Majrooh jailed for a couplet.
You lecture me on class after moving from “this cannot be Azad” to “it is Azad but you must read kafir as colonialist” to “anyway he went to jail” to “Jinnah was rude to him” to “please don’t mention Rahul.” That is not class. That is a guided tour of every exit except the text.
Look, Javed sahab, let us end this here. I like you. Doubtless a lot of your work is incredible, truly it is. So in that spirit, permit me to pen an ode to you:
Javed Akhtar ko dekha toh aisa laga, jaise chhal ka nawab, jaise jhoot ki kitaab, jaise dhong ki kiran, jaise adambar ka van, jaise kapton ki baat, jaise pakhand ki raat, jaise janpath mein ho ek jalta diya.

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

“Some stories should not be scrolled past. This is one of them.
Col Anurag Upadhyay scored in the 99th percentile in CAT. He could have chosen a corporate career. He chose the Indian Army instead.
He volunteered for the Special Forces, completed probation with 3 PARA (SF), and joined the raising team of 12 PARA (SF). Even after a heart attack in 2008, he returned to active duty.
In August 2025, he suffered a severe posterior circulation stroke. Today, he has Locked-in Syndrome. His body has been severely affected. His mind has not.
He is conscious and aware. He remembers. He thinks. Through eye movements and alphabet-based scanning, he communicates his thoughts. Further complications resulted in bilateral below-knee amputations.
This post is not asking for sympathy. It is asking for possibility.
His family knows what the medical literature says. They are not asking for promises. They believe no credible possibility should remain unexplored because the right expert was outside their network.
They seek connections to:
• Neurologists and neuro-rehabilitation specialists experienced in Locked-in Syndrome
• Rehabilitation centres focused on neurological recovery
• Researchers exploring recovery of movement, speech or other functions
• Research and emerging technologies, including brain-computer interfaces
• Eye-tracking and assistive technology that could give Anurag a more independent voice
• Veteran organisations or individuals who can open the right doors
Someone reading this may know a doctor who has treated a similar patient, a rehabilitation team that has seen a different outcome, a relevant researcher—or someone who can make the right introduction.
His prognosis should be determined by medicine and how his body responds—not by a lack of information, access or connections.
Please make a connection if you can. DM “Tales Of A Gypsy” on Instagram. If you cannot, share this until it reaches someone who can.
No sympathy. Just one question: What more is possible for Col Anurag ?
Let us help him find out”

He has been sentenced to 6 MONTHS IN PRISON for contempt of court
He was actively campaigning for Judicial Reforms, audio video recording in courts, for more than a decade
He had no personal interests.
Had no personal agenda.
He was just working for society and people who become victims of our totally broken justice system and he's paying such a huge price

मैं Ludhiana Jn से Varanasi Jn तक यात्रा कर रहा हूँ। मेरा टिकट RAC/S7/31 है

@uhbvnpkl@cmohry As per your post, the power supply is expected to be restored by 01:30, (which I have been getting from your end for the last 18 hrs over call) Kindly keep the status of the complaint PENDING or UNDER PROCESS and mark it CLOSED only after the supply gets restored.
@uhbvnpkl@cmohry Moreover, the consumer can't even provide feedback on your portal regarding the status of the complaint, (even if you guys mark it CLOSED, without even acting upon it) Such a fantastic consumer grievance system you guys are running
@uhbvnpkl@cmohry And now you guys have marked the status of the complaint as "CLOSED" within 15 mins without even resolving the issue, Just Wow !! Brilliant
