Early dawn in South Africa and the streets are already alive.
History made, emotions everywhere & this is exactly why football means so much.

Out of respect and diplomatic protocol, we donโt make comments on South Africaโs relations with other countries. Likewise, we oppose envoys of other countries publicly commenting on relations between China and South Africa.
@WernerHuman18@CheetahPlains Non alignment is a policy of independence not moral policing. US meets China=diplomacy, EU meets Iran=diplomacy, SA meets Iran=You are choosing sides? You are now confusing principle with a loyalty test. A doctrine of independence turned into a tool of compliance.
Take us South Africans seriously, ambassador. I'm not happy about our proximity to Tehran, but with the US's close friendship with dictatorships in the Gulf, your role in Gaza, your senseless war in Iran & your president's flirtation with Putin & Xi you're the last one to preach
@USAmbRSA Diplomacy is not endorsement. Trump met Xi Jinping. European leaders meet Chinese leaders. Western governments negotiate with Iran when it suits their interests. The standard seems to change depending on who is doing the meeting.
@USAmbRSA You treat engagement with Iran or China as evidence of ideological alignment, but treat engagement with the US, EU, Saudi Arabia as normal diplomacy. Apply the principle consistently. Either diplomatic engagement is endorsement in all cases, or it is endorsement in none.
@ewnupdates There is no official data/research or stats on illegal migration. What she is quoting from Stats SA is recorded data which includes legal migrants. In fact both Stats SA and Home affairs have repeatedly indicated that they do not know hom many illegal migrants are in SA.
@AdriaanBasson She repeats the BS to Naspers captured media. No real questions asked for accountability but heads nodding in agreement. These are not journalists but messengers for Gen Khan and Johnson's hubby. No honour amongst criminals.
@TimesLIVE Intentionally blurring illegal and legal migration. Brian appears to be documented yet the article moves between refugees, migrants, foreigners, undocumented migrants as if they are interchangeable catergories. Presenting Brian's experience as evidence of a broader conclusion.
