✅Overall, our results suggest a widespread symbiotic relationship between species of 'Zygosaccharomyces' and stingless bees and extend current knowledge of classical and non-classical mutualisms between fungi and insects.(4/4)

🐝In this paper we report the occurrence of a yeast fungus, 'Zygosaccharomyces spp', in the brood cells of different stingless bee species. (1/4)

🆕Furthermore, our phylogenetic analyses indicate that these yeasts are new species of 'Zygosaccharomyces' that have not yet been described in the literature.(3/4)
