Imam Ḥarb al-Kirmani said:
"And I heard Isḥaq say: The first to speak on the matter of Irjaʾ was, as they claim, al-Ḥasan ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥanafiyyah.
Then the Murjiʾah went to excess, to the point that among their positions was that some of them say: Whoever abandons the obligatory prayers, the fast of Ramaḍan, zakah, Ḥajj, and the general obligations, without denying them, we do not declare him a disbeliever; his affair is deferred to Allah thereafter, since he is one who affirms. These are the Murjiʾah concerning whom there is no doubt."
