@LakeShow3406 Agree and have been saying this for forever. The Bulls lost Jordan IN HIS PRIME and lost 2 less games the next year. Pip was arguably the beat player in the league that year.
If you are THE GREATEST EVER IN YOUR PRIME, your team aint that good unless someone had been held back.
@shadowlakers@GoldenKnightGFX Why cant Lyles leave the NBA alone? Why does it matter to him or you or me. Its a freaking title, so what.
The whole world recognizes the US as the greatest basketball country, our international record says we are the greatest by a mile. But the crabs in the barrel at home.....
@ProvideContext 100%. This is the argument many dont want to acknowledge. Its the same people who make it seem like Jordan only played 6 years (the years he won the title). Its the same people who made getting swept in the first round better than losing in the finals.
@CSmoove_Sports This trade isnt irrational anymore, which I wouldve never thought before last season.
Austin Reaves may be among the best value assets in the NBA. He is great for title contenders and rebuilding. He is a character dude as well as a baller.
Austin will be pursued.
@ProvideContext Well said man. I just dont agree with Luka. Luka is ball dominant to a fault. Bird was kind of the opposite. They have very different games. Luka is some variation of James Harden. Outside of them being able to shoot and being white, Luka/Bird are closer to opposites.
@Xanthos24 All these guys on team USA love him. I can name 20 teams where Austin puts them over the top or is great for a rebuild. Dude is unique. He is a very rare player both on the court and financially.
1988, vs Hawks, Lakers starting lineup:
6'9"
6'9"
7'2"
6'9"
6'4"
And as soon as GS got older, more worn down, that small ball bullshit will end for them too.
Its crazy how the NBA aided GS by bucking 75 years of conventional wisdom.
@Yinoma2001 Id rather take Javale at the 14th roster spot. Javale is a great locker room dude.
If the 14th spot is relevant to your team on the court, then your team sucks.
@Xanthos24 They might have lived but it aint wise for out of towners to go flossin their wealth through the hoods of Baltimore.
And Ja Rule may have talked tough but he sure as hell didnt mean it.
@HoopMixOnly 5-3 in the finals is generally more impressive than 6-0, especially if that 5-3 came in the 80s.
Its crazy to me how Jordan nut riders have made his career about 6 years, thats it, 6 years. Dont look at the sweeps, or the games he quit in 1988 in the ECF, just 6 years.
@Xanthos24 Real rap/hip hop dudes might not have Em in their top 20. Crazy thing, I have heard Em be as great as anyone but dude has too many crappy, bullshit songs and corny albums under his belt.
MTV put him over bc he was White and co-signed.
