I’ve seen so many people constantly complaining on social media about Kim Dan’s supposed “lack of personality.” Now that Jinx is coming to an end, I think it’s crucial to open this space for discussion. While Mingwa gave us a very direct and explicit explanation of Jaekyung’s trauma through his past, the community seems to be reading the story with a blindfold on when it comes to Dan. People haven't taken the time to analyze his background, despite the author leaving clues about his psychology and the reasons behind his behavior since the very first chapter.

Before we begin, I want to clarify that I am not a psychologist. This analysis is entirely based on my personal interpretation of the character and what I have studied and researched on the subject through my own means. I hope you enjoy it and that we can have a respectful discussion! ✨
