I cannot end the week without talking about Nakuru County, my home town that is wallowing in bad governance rotten to the core!!

We witnessed an elected MCA Hon George Nene from Elementaita Ward, Gilgil Constituency my home Constituency crying in the Assembly because he fears he will not be elected because of lack of development which he says is because of the current govenor.

But the biggest injustice is witnessing the current County government under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika defying court orders to re-open The War Memorial Hospital! A whole catholic priest in Nakuru called James Mwangi stood at the pulprit begging the County govt to simply obey court orders!!

Our County assembly has failed in its mandate to oversight and hold the County executive accountable and ensuring service delivery across all our 55 wards! -Our County roads are undeveloped, our hospitals are scandalous from here to Tiimbkutu, we are on auto pilot as business men and women running the County are opening private projects in the hotel business and rental real estate businesses!!!

When MCAs are crying what will we the wananchi surely do?!!

We need to seriously slap ourselves hard on our faces and do better as Nakuru County!!! And reclaim back our County because even calling it a city is an insult to us all!

There seems to be an uncomfortable pattern of sidelining and undermining Luo voices within Linda Mwananchi by individuals entrusted with leadership in the movement.

I received an audio recording of a meeting in which deeply troubling and undermining remarks were made. Soon afterwards, I alongside others, had been removed from various official groups with zero explanation.

We cannot champion inclusion in public while practicing the exact opposite internally.

This tendency deserves honest scrutiny!
