My comment on the Czech National Bank and Bitcoin: I have long been of the opinion that economic laws apply with the same inevitability as natural laws.

Fiat is lousy money, it does not fulfill basic functions: in most of the world it does not function as a reliable medium of exchange, and nowhere in the world does it function as a store of value.

The economic needs of exchange and the building of savings and investment are thus unfulfilled by the influence of fiat.

Bitcoin is good money. A fixed supply that no one can touch + global access without begging. It can be saved and exchanged, anywhere in the world. The whole world will gradually switch to bitcoin, just as it switched to email instead of post or cars instead of horse-drawn carriages. Simply because bitcoin is much more in line with economic laws and needs than fiat.

Bitcoin was first discovered by those inclined towards non-state solutions: libertarians, cypherpunks, anarchists, Austrian economists. Or “the buffoons.”

However, economic laws apply to everyone without exception. That is why we are now seeing adoption by Wall Street, corporations, states. It is inevitable, like the sun in the summer and snow in the winter (this is a consequence of natural laws, while bitcoinization is a consequence of economic laws.)

Personally, I'm not a fan of it, nor am I upset. It's simply an expected and inevitable development. If we could exempt states from adopting Bitcoin, then Bitcoin has failed as a neutral monetary system.

When it rains, I take an umbrella. When it bitcoinizes, I hold and earn bitcoin.
