เมื่อเวลาประมาณ 16.30 น.ของวันที่ 4 เม.ย. 68 ที่โรงแรมแชงกรีล่า ย่านเจริญกรุง กรุงเทพ ปอม(นามสมมติ) นักศึกษาปี 1 มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งหนึ่งไปประท้วง พล.อ.อาวุโส มินอ่องหล่าย ประธานสภาบริหารแห่งรัฐ (SAC) และผู้นำคณะรัฐประหาร ที่มาเข้าร่วมการประชุม BIMSTEC ที่ประเทศไทยในฐานะเจ้าภาพ

ระหว่างที่พนักงานรักษาความปลอดภัยเข้าไปคุมตัวปอมเพื่อพาตัวออกจากพื้นที่ในอาคารของโรงแรมเขาได้ตะโกนว่า

“ประเทศไทยไม่ต้อนรับฆาตกรเผด็จการ มินอ่องหล่าย การประชุมครั้งนี้เปื้อนไปด้วยเลือดคนบริสุทธิ์กว่า 6,000 คน”

“นายกฯ แพทองธารรู้สึกอย่างไรกับการจับมือที่เปื้อนเลือด คนบริสุทธิ์”

“ท่านทั้งหลายที่ประชุมกันอยู่รู้สึกละอายใจบ้างมั้ยที่อ้างตัวว่าเป็นประชาธิปไตยแต่กลับมากินเลี้ยงสังสรรค์กับเผด็จการทหารที่ฆ่าคนบริสุทธิ์ประเทศไทยขออยู่เคียงข้างชาวพม่า ชาวไทยไม่ยอมรับเผด็จการฆาตกร”

ทั้งนี้ระหว่างอ่านคำแถลง ตำรวจได้เข้าจับกุมตัวปอมและนำตัวไปที่ สน.ยานนาวา โดยขณะนี้ทนายความกำลังติดตามไป
