@KatelynTweeter The thing is, it doesn't matter really what your opinion is as long as a person or fetus is using someone else's body to sustain life, the person whose body is used gets to decide whether or not they want to continue sustaining that life.
@whythough120@AbortionChat So... If a fetus isn't compatible with life but is threatening the life of the pregnant person, you would want them to sacrifice their life for nauth?
Aka, killing them both instead of just taking an abortion?
@ThisWretched@AbortionChat Doesn't matter really, as long as a person or fetus is using someone else's body to sustain life, the person whose body is used gets to decide whether or not they want to continue sustaining that life.
@DanTalks That's a lot of words to just say you are transphobic.
See, it isn't transphobic to not want to date trans people, it is transphobic to proudly state you wouldn't want to date trans people cause "trans men are women".
Which is basically what you are saying here.
@dessyfreakaz@asteriskkkk_ Actually, lets move the goal post back to where it was.
Feminism isn't the right to rape, abuse, accuse or kill men.
No feminist org is advocating for that.
That’s just not true though. Plenty of feminists have pushed for gender-neutral rape laws and recognition of male victims.
Men being assaulted is real. Pretending feminists deny that is just a strawman.
Feminism isn't about women having power, it's about equity.
@PurrChoice4Life@jeffreyketland Feminists have argued for 40 years that women raping males by forcing them to have sex with them not only should not count as rape, but doesn't even happen, despite it being one of the most common forms of SA males face, only topped by women groping without consent.
@asteriskkkk_@dessyfreakaz Yes, women can absolutely be just as terrible as men. They’re capable of SA and IPV, no one’s denying that.
My point is simply that feminism isn’t the right to rape, abuse, falsely accuse, or harm men.
@asteriskkkk_@dessyfreakaz Sooo your "gotcha" is to ask for a celebrity feminist soundbite, not a data argument.
While the actual issue is how the CDC categorizes sexual violence. lol
@dessyfreakaz • Supporting intersectional equality (race, sexuality, disability + gender combined)
• Arguing against rigid gender roles and stereotypes that limit people
Apperently in your eyes that counts as only "opposing misogyni".
@dessyfreakaz LOL
What they've actually done is:
• Promoting gender equality as a human rights issue
• Advocating for inclusive language and policies that apply across genders
• Opposing discrimination based on sex, gender identity, or expression
Last time I checked the CDC isn't international.
But separating “rape” and “made to penetrate” in a survey isn’t the same as lobbying to exclude male victims from law.
Show the actual law and the feminist org that blocked it. Otherwise it’s just vibes.
@dessyfreakaz Nope.
A lot of modern feminist advocacy supports consent-based, gender-neutral sexual assault laws that protect everyone.
The idea that feminism as a whole works against equality for men just isn’t accurate.
