स्कूल शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग, शिक्षा मंत्रालय, द्वारा राष्ट्रीय ई-पुस्तकालय (ReP) पर राष्ट्रीय काव्य उत्सव 2026 का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। देशभर के कक्षा 9वीं से 12वीं तक के विद्यार्थियों को इस राष्ट्रीय कविता वाचन प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेने के लिए आमंत्रित किया जाता है।

प्रतिभागी ReP पर उपलब्ध कविताओं में से अपनी पसंद की एक कविता चुनकर उसका 60-90 सेकंड का वाचन वीडियो तैयार कर सकते हैं तथा निर्धारित सोशल मीडिया हैंडल एवं हैशटैग के साथ अपनी प्रविष्टि साझा कर सकते हैं।

आइए, कविता के माध्यम से पठन, सृजन और अभिव्यक्ति के इस उत्सव का हिस्सा बनें ।

The fifth day of Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026 focuses on fostering cultural appreciation and active listening among students across Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Through subtitled regional short films, storytelling sessions, puppetry and short theatrical performances depicting local freedom fighters and eminent personalities from different states, students explored the rich cultural and historical heritage of India.

Inspired by the vision of Union Education Minister Shri @dpradhanbjp to promote Indian languages and multilingual learning, the second day of Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp 2026 witnessed enthusiastic participation from school students.

With participation from 43 States/UTs/autonomous bodies, the initiative has already engaged 3.52+ crore students, 23.78+ lakh teachers, 8.80+ lakh schools and 5.59+ lakh communities through 1,985 activities. By connecting language learning with cultural expression, Bharatiya Bhasha Summer Camp continues to strengthen mutual understanding and the spirit of #EkBharatShreshthaBharat.

माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री @narendramodi के नेतृत्व में भारतीय भाषाओं को सम्मान और मातृभाषा में शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के दृष्टिकोण ने देश में भाषाई विविधता को नई ऊर्जा प्रदान की है। भारत की प्रत्येक भाषा हमारी साझा सांस्कृतिक विरासत और राष्ट्रीय पहचान का अभिन्न हिस्सा है।

राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 के अनुरूप, स्कूल शिक्षा एवं साक्षरता विभाग, शिक्षा मंत्रालय, बहुभाषिकता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। इसी उद्देश्य के साथ आयोजित भारतीय भाषा ग्रीष्मकालीन शिविर 2026 देशभर में एक जन-आंदोलन का रूप ले चुका है। 43 राज्यों/केंद्रशासित प्रदेशों/स्वायत्त निकायों की सहभागिता के साथ अब तक 3.52 करोड़ से अधिक छात्र, 23.77 लाख शिक्षक, 8.79 लाख विद्यालय और 5.59 लाख समुदाय इस अभियान से जुड़ चुके हैं। 1,978 से अधिक गतिविधियों के माध्यम से छात्र अपनी ग्रीष्मकालीन छुट्टियों के दौरान भारत की भाषाई एवं सांस्कृतिक विविधता को जानने, समझने और उससे जुड़ने का अवसर प्राप्त कर रहे हैं।

As a lead-up to World Environment Day 2026, a virtual meeting was chaired by Shri @sanjayjavin, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education on 4th June 2026, to sensitise representatives from States and UTs on the implementation of Green Summer Camps and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 3.0 under the aegis of Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE. The Secretary emphasised the importance of environmental awareness and the need to adopt sustainable lifestyle among students, highlighting the critical role of schools in nurturing environmentally responsible behaviour. He encouraged States and UTs to leverage Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE as a platform to promote conservation of resources and active participation in environmental initiatives.

Dr. Amarpreet Duggal, Joint Secretary, DoSEL, delivered an in-depth presentation highlighting the importance of promoting environmental awareness among school students through activities aligned with the seven themes of Mission LiFE and encouraged States and UTs to facilitate active participation of schools in the campaign.

States/UTs were urged to ensure saturation of Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE in schools of all managements across the country.

As part of the National Award Ceremony of School Challenge–TOFEI 2025 and Launch of the #NashaMuktVidyalaya Three-YearAction Plan, an engaging panel discussion was organised on “Nurturing Resilient and Empowered Youth: Mental Health Promotion and Tobacco & Drug-Free Campuses”.

The discussion was moderated by Ms.Anusree Raha, Deputy Secretary, DoSEL and featured eminent panelists Dr. RajeshSagar, Head,Department of Psychiatry,AIIMS, Dr.Anjali Chhabra, Additional Director,CBSE and Shri Nikhil Kant, Deputy Director, AICTE.
The session emphasised the importance of mental well-being, preventive education and institutional support systems in creating safe, inclusive and substance-free educational environments for students across the country. It also highlighted the crucial role of teachers and parents in empathetically acknowledging students’ concerns, identifying early signs of mental health issues and appropriately handling such situations with care, sensitivity and support.
