Gate-keeping is a cancer in Kenya. Media, corporates and civil service are populated with idiots who misconstrue blocking merit as equivalent to gain for themselves.

We’ll never extract the benefits of laws to play local content as long as retarded gate-keepers in mainstream media houses and corrupt corporates block talent in pursuit of bribes or management contracts. We know you refuse to play good music because they don’t want to sign up to your under-the-table talent agencies.

This is the conflict of interest that has been an impediment towards growth of local arts.
