During the recent visit of Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. @himantabiswa dangoriya to Naharkatia on 24th July, 29-year-old Pranjal Baruah, a resident of Gotong Gaon, had appealed for financial assistance for the treatment of chronic kidney disease, requiring a kidney transplant.

Responding compassionately to the request, Hon’ble Chief Minister dangoriya approved ₹2 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and ₹3 lakh from the Arogya Nidhi, Assam. The financial assistance was handed over to Pranjal at his residence, today.

It is hoped that this support will significantly aid in the transplant process and help Pranjal Baruah regain his health and resume a normal life at the earliest.

Delighted to inaugurate the newly constructed “Gaurav Path,” extending from Hanuman Mandir to the Public Works Department office in Naharkatia, under the Mukhyamantri Nagariya Pakipath Nirman Achani 2023–24.

As part of the road’s beautification efforts, newly installed street lights on both sides near the Daily Market were also inaugurated last evening.

In the coming months, the town will witness further enhancement, with the installation of 300 street lights across all major roads under the Naharkatia Municipal Board.
