Hi @SIKAOFFICIAL1 i am sorry for what happened to you. It could've been worse. We thank God for your life.
Military personnel, unlike the police, are trained to defend national security, execute combat and tactical operations, follow strict chain-of-command orders, and handle specialized operational duties.
They are not friends to civilians. They are not trained to respect press freedom. So when they are deployed to handle specialized operations just like this one, they come prepared with a combat mentality.
Not to make any excuses for them, but when you are covering their activities you should be a little more careful. Because they see every un-uniformed person as an enemy or a potential threat to their own security.
That mostly explains their behavior.
One of the beachfront encroachments is connected with a ruling party boss. Labadi Beach Hotel staff say the facility was meant to be a temporary event location for Year of Return. Now, it permanently blocks hotel residents' view & bellows loud, disturbing, music every weekend.
Labadi Beach Hotel, built in 1991 by Ghana's biggest gold mine, is Gh's most prestigious 5-star beach resort. Since SSNIT, the state pension fund & 100% owner, took over mgmt, political insiders have hijacked the beachfront leaving the hotel with just 2 acres. SSNIT is helpless.
this is why i’m confused as to people are saying it’s politically motivated. we were all here when the suit was announced and the reasons as to why a suit was even being filed.
but today we’re saying it’s politics.
ok.
“If you don’t take care of your Woman, another Man will”.
Yes i agree.
And if my woman doesn’t take care of me, another woman will.
What is good for Greece is good for Uganda.
