If you say Bruno Fernandes hasn’t been the best player in the league this season, you’re probably letting narratives cloud what’s actually happened on the pitch or you’re just not being sincere.

21 assists and 8 goals in the Premier League is absurd production for a midfielder, especially in a season where he was basically the entire creative engine of the team. Nobody in Premier League history has ever hit 21 assists before now. Bruno has just done that this season.

And it’s not just raw assists either. He led the league in chances created, big chances created, key passes every creative metric basically points back to him and the gap between him and the second person isn’t even close. We’re all witnessing an all timer creative level in real time.

This isn’t a superteam dominating every week. A lot of the creativity was forced through him. When United needed progression, final balls, tempo control, set pieces, leadership, late goals, chance creation. it was Bruno every single time.

People usually reserve “best player in the league” conversations for goalscorers or players in aesthetically dominant teams, but historically, seasons like this age very well. Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne are the only players who previously reached 20 assists in a Premier League season before Bruno broke it.

You can argue preferences, sure. But acting like there’s no serious case for Bruno being the best player in the league this season just doesn’t line up with the level of output and influence he had. He’s level above everyone individually this season.

Essa musica é sobre o DNA real do United.

Eu sei que muitos pensam que o jogo ofensivo, ou a base, ou até a cultura de vitórias do clube seja o DNA do Manchester United.

Mas nosso verdadeiro DNA é se recusar a morrer, se recusar a perder. A ser o time que quando cai, se levanta.

Venham comigo, fomos criados como Newton Heath, e a beira da falencia, os proprios jogadores do clube andavam pelas ruas de Manchester pedindo esmolas pra ajudarem o clube. E renascemos nas mãos do John Henry Davies que colocou grana no clube e administrou por um tempo. E dessa forma ganhamos a nossa 1º liga. Depois, quando já eramos grandes, em 1941, o Old Trafford é destruido pelos bombardeios alemães e toda estrutura so clube vai a zero. Passamos a pagar pra jogar no estadio do City, causando um estrago nas nossas finanças. Afinal, era grana pra pagar o aluguel do estadio, grana pra reconstruir o Old Trafford e grana pra montar o time.

Foi quando trouxemos o imortal Sir Matt Busby, que criou o Busby Babies, um time de garotos que ganhou varios troféus, depois de 8 anos estavamos em nossa casa de volta. Td pra em 6 de Fevereiro de 1958, perdermos td no acidente se Munique. Busby e Charlton sobreviveram, e persistiram. 10 anos depois nos tornamos o 1º inglês a vencer a Champions League. Pra quando chegasse nos anos 80 vermos o dominio do Liverpool e o clube novamente flertando com a falencia. E outra vez alguém com o espirito de Old Trafford assumiu. Sir Alex Ferguson, que teve o DNA de não se entregar. Mesmo quando sua familia, torcida e imprensa pediam sua demissão.

Engraçado como Fergie era o DNA do United total, a ponto do sentimento de luta até o fim ser a marca do seu tempo. O Fergietime, termo que nasce quando Steve Bruce marca contra o Sheffield em 1993, pra virarmos o jogo aos 93’ e nos manter na briga por aquele que viria a ser a 1º PL das 13 que SAF ganhou.

Depois, tantas vitórias dessa forma, como em 99 contra o Bayern. Notem como isso é algo que está sempre na alma do clube, pq mesmo em meio a tantos problemas, times fracos e mal montados, somos o time que não desiste. Vitórias como a virada contra o City de Guardiola com Show do Pogba e Alexis. A vitória en Paris por 3 a 1 pra eliminar o PSG. Ou até a vitória contra o Liverpool na FA em 2024. Temporada passada contra o Bilbao. Esse DNA continua em nós até hj.

Eu gostaria ate de falar mais, mas já está muito longo.
