🇵🇰 Pakistan is clearing HOSPITAL BEDS for MASS CASUALTIES from a protest that hasn't happened yet!

That may be the most alarming sign yet of what authorities expect on September 27.

Ahead of PTI's march on Islamabad, Drop Site News says it obtained government instructions ordering hospitals to prepare for a potential “humanitarian crisis” and “mass casualty incident.”

Elective surgeries are reportedly being postponed. Staff leave cancelled. Employees recalled. Stable patients discharged to make room.

And while hospitals prepare for casualties, the government is trying to stop the people who might fill those beds from reaching Islamabad in the first place.

Imran Khan's three sisters have been detained for 30 days. PTI politicians and workers have been arrested. Roadblocks are going up. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi says the march will be stopped “in every possible way.”

None of this means mass casualties will occur. Preparing hospitals for the worst is exactly what governments should do when serious unrest is possible.

But the preparation itself tells us something extraordinary.

6 days before the march, Pakistan is not only preparing to police a demonstration... it is reportedly preparing its hospitals for what's about to come.

🇵🇰 Pakistan's Supreme Court ordered Imran Khan moved to hospital. He was back in his cell within hours, and the whole episode captures exactly how his three years in custody have gone.

The backstory: Khan, 73, has been jailed since August 2023 on corruption convictions he and his party call politically motivated.

Concerns have built for months over his health, fluctuating blood pressure, anxiety the jail's own cardiac board linked to restricted family contact, and reported vision loss in one eye that first surfaced back in February.

Last week the Supreme Court ordered him transferred to Shifa International Hospital within 48 hours for an independent medical board assessment, with family access and calls to his sons abroad.

The government fought the order and even tried a review petition. When the transfer finally happened, Khan was diverted to a different, state-run hospital, PIMS, over what officials called a "security situation."

A six-doctor team, including a cardiologist and ophthalmologist, examined him overnight and declared him fit to remain in custody. By 5am he was back in Adiala jail.

@PTIofficial calls the whole sequence a violation of the court's order.

What makes this more than a routine prison-health story: Khan was Pakistan's elected prime minister until a 2022 no-confidence vote, and his imprisonment has become the central fault line in a country where the military has historically held the real levers of power.

Courts have sided with him on paper repeatedly, this is now at least the third medical order in a year, while the practical outcome each time is identical: examined, cleared, returned to the same cell.

The pattern itself, a former PM's health becoming a recurring legal battle rather than a settled fact, says something about how contested power actually is in Pakistan right now.

At least 14 newborn babies have died in a hospital fire at a public hospital in Pakistan’s capital city, Islamabad.

The fire broke out in the maternity ward at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, where 16 babies were being cared for.

It’s one of the main hospitals in the city. Some of those grieving outside the hospital say the ward was locked.

Public healthcare in Pakistan is often criticised for being overburdened and under-resourced.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered an 'immediate' inquiry.

In a post on X, Nepal Correspondence claimed that Chinese “Xiaokang settlements" at glacial altitudes had contributed to an ecological disaster and that avalanches were now occurring annually along the China-Nepal border.

The group claimed Wednesday’s flood was triggered near Gyirong town in Tibet.

According to the post, the town was constructed after cutting hills and was built on the natural course of the Trishuli river. The group alleged that construction had damaged the ecosystem around glacial peaks, resulting in avalanches that could cause flash floods in Nepal.

China executed three men convicted of repeated child rape on November 13, 2024, the same day the Supreme People’s Court approved their death sentences.

One was a primary school teacher who raped six girls under 14 more than 100 times.

Another lured and abused eight girls, using threats with indecent images.

The third coerced a girl starting at age 12 for years until she died by suicide at 16.

🚨The Court publicized the cases and stated the executions show zero tolerance and aim to deter others.

This is the kind of “quick trial” Trump has repeatedly praised when describing China’s system.
