Okay this is my theory on the rumoured 2hr Heated Rivalry special 🧐

I think the 2hr special is going to cover the period of time between the end of Heated Rivalry (Show) and the beginning of The Long Game. Hear me out, A LOT happens during this time period. We end season one in July 2017 and apart from Kip’s graduation in the September nothing else happens in the GCU until 2018. July 2018 Ilya signs with Ottawa and makes the move during this summer, Shane comes out to the Metros and Ryan starts playing with Toronto with Wyatt and Troy as his teammates 👀 October 2018 Ryan and Fabian reunite for the first time and Troy also begins his relationship with Adrian. November 2018 my dinner with Hayden happens along with major plot points for Ryan and Fabian’s story this is also when the Irina foundation is announced. December 2018 is when Wyatt is traded to Ottawa. 2019 is when we see Duncan Harvey’s funeral where Ilya and Ryan share a moment together and invites him to be a coach at the game changers camp (likely filmed today btw 👀) Eric and Kyle’s book takes place during this time and Skip get married in summer 2020 and then July 2020 we have the beginning of The Long Game. So what if this 2hr special is a movie covering this time period and it will end with Troy finding out about him being traded to Ottawa, I know timeline wise this happens in the middle of TLG but I’m sure they could tweak that like they did with Skips timeline. So we get valuable background to Troy’s story with Dallas etc whilst also getting to develop the other characters and also see key moments that we don’t get to see for Shane and Ilya.
