I've seen some people on TikTok claiming that Myanmar and Thai cultures are similar because King Bayinnaung conquered Thailand. It's honestly mind-boggling how they think! King Bayinnaung was from the Toungoo Dynasty, but the traditional attire they are copying is actually from the Konbaung Dynasty. I’m just speechless at their lack of logic.The Nyaungyan Dynasty lies right between the Toungoo and Konbaung eras.

Respectful cultural representation requires more than using traditional symbols as visual designs; it also means understanding their history, recognizing where they come from, and giving proper credit to the culture they represent.

If this design is not inspired by Myanmar or Rakhine culture, we kindly ask the production team to provide the references or sources used in creating it so the inspiration behind the design can be clearly understood. ဥပမာ ဗမာတိုင်းရင်းသားတစ်ဦးအနေနဲ့ သူ့ရဲ့ဗမာရိုးရာဝတ်စားဆင်ယင်မှုနဲ့ ကချင်၊ ကယားရိုးရာဝတ်စားဆင်ယင်မှုတို့မှာ ဘယ်ဟာကို ပိုဂုဏ်ယူပြီး ဝတ်ဆင်မယ်၊ ဘယ်ဟာကို ပိုအမွှမ်းတင်မယ်ထင်လဲ။ သေချာပေါက် ကိုယ့်ရိုးရာကိုယ်ပဲပေါ့။ ဘယ်သူကမှ တခြားတိုင်းရင်းသားရဲ့ ရိုးရာဝတ်စုံကို ဝတ်ပြပြီး “ဒါက ငါတို့ရဲ့ကိုယ်ပိုင်ရိုးရာထက် ပိုသာတယ်” ဆိုပြီး ဂုဏ်ယူပြနေမှာ မဟုတ်ဘူး။
