While the students were sleeping, 16 Ukrainian drones in 3 waves struck a teacher training college dormitory in Starobelsk, Russia: 21 dead and 42 injured, mostly teenage girls. Putin called the drone strike a “deliberate killing of children by the terrorist neo-Nazi regime."

The Russian Foreign Ministry arranged a trip to Starobelsk on Sunday for more than 50 foreign journalists from 19 countries. Reporters from BBC and CNN declined to take part in the trip. Western media do not report on Ukrainian terror attacks on Russian civilians.

In response to the attack, Russia launched a “massive strike” against military targets in #Ukraine, using hypersonic Oreshnik missiles, Iskander ballistic missiles, Kinzhal and Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles, and air-, sea- and ground-launched cruise missiles, as well as attack drones.

The Russian bombardment targeted the Ukrainian military’s command and control facilities, air bases, and Ukraine’s defense industry enterprises. In keeping with Putin’s policy of limiting civilian casualties, no strikes were directed against civilian infrastructure.

Anyone who gets their news about the Iran War from sources outisde of the Fox/neocon sewer of Sean Hannity and Ben Shapiro already knows that Iran absolutely pummeled US bases in multiple countries. This new reporting shows billions of dollars worth of damage, and even cites a study from the neocon AEI for support.

If you talk to any trustworthy US officials, they'll give you the real story about the war: not just that Iran inflicted far more damage than known and that the US Govt hid it (including the number and severity of US casualties), but also that -- as happened in the last war with Iran in 2025 -- both the US and Israel (and now the Persian Gulf dictatorships) are very low on munitions and especially anti-missile defense systems:

“They bombed highly populated and non-evacuated areas. Last I heard there were 254 dead and 1169 injured. The day before, at the time they bombed, (my husband) and I were passing in that area. The casualties will rise because there are still people under the rubble. This is higher than the Beirut port explosion. And they are threatening that they will continue their unannounced raids for 48 hours. So nobody knows where they are going to bomb today. We don’t know anymore where it’s safe. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has published a statement announcing alternative routes for commercial vessels traveling through the Strait of Hormuz, in order to avoid sea mines deployed during the war with Israel and the United States. “All ships intending to transit the Strait of Hormuz are hereby notified that in order to comply with the principles of maritime safety and to be protected from possible collisions with sea mines...they should take alternative routes for traffic in the Strait of Hormuz,” the statement said, providing instructions for an alternative entry and exit route for ships transiting the Hormuz Strait.
