Pyramid clubs are all about friendships and schools so it is vitally important that all children feel safe there. Loving the work from @Kidscape in this #AntiBullyingWeek2024. We all need to Choose Respect!
One of the best ways I find to encourage children to speak and for everyone to hear what they say is through circle time, where we can all see each other. At Pyramid we pass round a soft toy which is comforting to hold if you're a bit nervous. #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek
During this #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek see how many children you can talk to. And remember you have two ears and one mouth, so listen twice as much as you speak. Everyone has something important to say, if only we listen.
It’s Children’s Mental Health Week and it’s so important for us to encourage our children to share their thoughts and feelings about their mental health and to support one another.

Both giving and receiving kindness can have a positive impact on your mental health. 💕
Being kind can improve your emotional wellbeing and happiness, and reduce stress and isolation. 💚

#WorldKindnessDay
Today is #WorldKindnessDay and I want to thank all those lovely people who show amazing kindness to the children and young people who attend our Pyramid clubs. You are ace! Those youngsters will remember you well into their future. Kindness has a way of paying back.
On #WorldMentalHealthDay remember those five ways to wellbeing - taking note of the world around us, connecting with other people, keeping moving, giving to others and continuing to learn. We can all help our own mental health and that of others 🙂
Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay, and today’s theme is Mental health as a Universal Human Right. We must remember that this right includes babies, children, and young people- they cannot continue to be neglected.
It’s #WorldMentalHealthDay! 🌍💚 A day to talk about mental health. To show everyone that mental health matters. And let people know that it’s okay to ask for help.

What a sad state of affairs - we need organisations like Children England if our children are to face a fairer and happier future. This country will be a poorer place with their demise.
It is with great sadness, that after 81 years of campaigning for the rights of children and young people, Children England has taken the decision to prepare for closure.

As we start the second week back for many children (more like a month in Scotland), I wonder how many schools are already experiencing issues with emotional-based absences? And do they feel they can offer genuine and sustainable support to those families?
Reading the @educationgovuk guidance for schools on supporting children absent due to mental health problems and it strikes me that most of the schools I work with simply do not have the resources to offer the individualised support cited in the best practice examples.
In our very first Foundations' blog, our Chief executive @jocasebourne outlines the thinking behind our new vision, mission and strategy.

The Witherslack pack for #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek is still available to download and has some excellent materials in it - and they're all free. Particularly useful for parents of neurodiverse children, but also great for professionals.
Can you share this post with your friends, family and colleagues? We’ve put together a series of webinars, podcasts and downloadable resources relating to child and adolescent mental health just in time for Children’s Mental Health Week

@nhenews @NHS_HealthEdEng @AFNCCF @CharlieWallerUK@ncbtweets Where can I find out more about this initiative and what the plans are for future rollout? Sounds like something that should be available everywhere.
#childrensmentalhealthweek2023 comes to an end as children in most areas move into a half-term holiday. Time for their communities to take over while school staff have a break. What can you do to connect with children or help them connect to each other? Youth workers?
Been visiting Pyramid clubs over the last couple of weeks. So lovely to see children who are so much more confident and relaxed in themselves. And such amazing t-shirt decoration by 8 year olds - I'm so proud of them and they're so proud of themselves.
