But the two on a base to base playing field were even, with Stark catching him off guard multiple times. And Shunsui did have help when he was hurt bad for a moment. Turning the 1v1 into more of a 1v4.

He wasn't trying either, and was pushing Shunsui back considerably to the point where stark was considering on using his bankai. Also, Aizen was stated to be cautious of Stark's power and his potential. I don't think he's as weak as people think.
