+1 for the bucket list
The Northern Lights
Where I live, there are rare chances to see them, but it’s always too cloudy on those few rare days.
Have you seen them? Where are the best spots to enjoy just how cool they are?
We never saw it coming
We always thought that the threat of AI, would be through the rise of the machines.
We were extremely naive and shortsighted.
AI completely skipped this evolutionary step and instead jumped straight to the apes……..
It is now doing things with biology that only our science fiction writers could possibly dream of.

The Return of Triumph
——————————
Returning from a long solo hike in the wilderness.
- The sense of accomplishment
- The pain you put your body through
- The joy of seeing your comfy vehicle at the trailhead
- The anticipation of having a hearty meal and seeing your loved ones again
I love backpacking.
I knew someone who got hit by a car in an intersection at a hospital.
The half a block ambulance ride cost her $1000
AND they had someone bust in her room while she was still unclothed and getting checked out…so they could ask her how she was paying for the ride

Lituya Bay, Alaska, July 9, 1958
——————————————
A landslide displaced enough water to generate a 1700ft high tsunami
You read that right….1700ft….
As it rolled down the length of the bay, forests on the mountains were completely sheared off the rock.
Soil and shorelines were completely erased.
The wave decimated 5 square miles of land and cleared hundreds of thousands of trees.
For everyone saying “just move out”
Wrong mindset. That is where you live, that’s your home.
Instead of moving, defend your right to live in the place you want to, free from government tyranny
