@gmgeiko Im genuinely curious about their psychology how/whytheir brains do/dont work+the interaction with social conditions. Can be so with victims too, but the honest truth is most are ordinary people who we wouldnt be interested in. Occasionally there's a Cynthia Vigil but thats rare
This election is going to be entirely about pocketbook politics and affordability. No one is talking about cultural issues but centrist Dems. They are the true culture warriors.
Men have 4x the suicide rate as women, live shorter lives, are disproportionately impacted by drug addiction and immigration and the party completely ignored all these issues to focus on abortion. But now there’s no abortion rights. We did successfully run men out the party tho
When a woman materializes at a politically crucial moment to voice accusations of sexual abuse from many years ago, is she a brave victim finally confronting her abuser, or a scheming liar with a political agenda?
It 100% depends upon the politics of the accuser and accused.
I increasingly think AI has created a new cultural category: consumption experienced as production. You can spend hours prompting images, code, videos, stories, and ideas and feel intensely engaged throughout the process. It feels active rather than passive. But often what is happening is that you are consuming an endless stream of machine-generated novelty, customised precisely to your tastes.
The cultural challenge of AI may not be distinguishing human-generated content from AI-generated content. It may be distinguishing genuine authorship from highly personalised entertainment.
You're a disgrace. But you're perfect proof that Republicans will embrace the most pathetic #MeToo-style sleaze tactics the instant they deem it of short-term political advantage. Sooooo desperate are they to ensure John Thune retains control of the Senate. A revolting spectacle
Since @NationalPhilad2 tweaked me about my geeky music fixations Ill add to it. I think its interesting that there's a case that Jason Isbell had the sing best and worst 2010s records and that anyone with that mega talent made himself as lame through success and wokery as he did
Im sure he knew what it was but whats reaIIy striking here is the Dems utter unfamiIiarity with miIitary fraternaI cuIture. They genuineIy seem to have no idea it exists as it does
He definitley knew what it was. Military people know what it is and the guy reads. You can argue it was just to be edgy, which is tasteless and stupid, but come on, this is getting ridiculous.
