كيف تُغذّي القوات المسلحة السودانية نيران الحرب في تيغراي ⁉️

في الثاني من يونيو الجاري، نشرت منظمة ACLED، وهي اختصار لـ"مشروع بيانات مواقع النزاعات المسلحة والأحداث"، والمعروفة بكونها أكثر مصادر معلومات النزاعات موثوقيةً في العالم، تقريراً تحليلياً بالغ الأهمية يحمل عنوان: "تحرك جبهة تحرير شعب تيغراي نحو السيطرة الكاملة على تيغراي يُشكّل تهديداً متنامياً وموسّعاً في القرن الأفريقي."
التقرير يكشف لأول مرة بالأدلة والتواريخ والأسماء كيف تحوّل نزاع محلي إلى بؤرة حرب إقليمية بالوكالة، تتقاطع فيها مصالح دولتي السودان وإريتريا ومحاور دولية أوسع، ولم يكتفِ برصد المشهد الميداني في مناطق النزاع.

حلف المحاور ضد أديس أبابا

قبل أن نغوص في تفاصيل الدور الذي تمارسه سلطة بورتسودان عبر أذرع استخباراتها، لا بد من فهم السياق العام الذي يرسمه التقرير بدقة، إذ أقدمت جبهة تحرير شعب تيغراي (TPLF) في مايو الماضي على خطوة استفزازية كبرى بإعادة تنصيب حكومة الإقليم التي انتهت ولايتها عام 2020، متجاهلةً الحكومة المؤقتة القائمة التي فرضتها اتفاقية السلام.
هذه الخطوة، وفق التقرير، مثّلت الحلقة الأولى في سلسلة تصعيد عسكري يستهدف السيطرة على منطقة غرب تيغراي المتنازع عليها، الخط الأحمر الذي أعلنت الحكومة الفيدرالية في أديس أبابا أنها ستحارب دون العبور منه.
ما يجعل هذا التصعيد خطيراً بصورة استثنائية وغير مسبوقة أنه يعتمد على تحالف إقليمي متعدد المحاور تحتل فيه القوات المسلحة السودانية، بالدليل الموثق، موقعاً محورياً، وليس جبهة تحرير شعب تيغراي كفاعل رئيسي كما جرت العادة طوال فترات الصراع السابقة.

الاستخبارات السودانية المحرك الرئيسي

يُجمع التقرير وتقارير موازية على أن الاستخبارات العسكرية السودانية تحوّلت تدريجياً إلى طرف فاعل في دعم جبهة تحرير شعب تيغراي. ويرصد التقرير، باحتمالية عالية، أن القوات السودانية ستدعم أي تحرك عسكري للجبهة نحو غرب تيغراي عبر تقديم الأسلحة والإمدادات، واستضافة عناصر من قوات دفاع تيغراي (TDF) على الأراضي السودانية لتنسيق العمليات.
هذا ليس سلوكاً جديداً؛ إذ كشفت تقارير منظمة فورين بوليسي ومؤسسة Critical Threats أن القوات المسلحة السودانية سبق أن قدّمت السلاح والدعم اللوجستي للجبهة خلال حرب تيغراي الأولى (2020 - 2022)، وأن علاقتها بالجبهة تاريخية ومتجذرة.
إلا أن الأخطر من هذا هو ما يُوثّقه التقرير من تحركات فعلية على الأرض، إذ في الخامس من مايو الماضي، في نفس اليوم الذي أعلنت فيه الجبهة رسمياً إعادة تنصيب مجلس الإقليم، حشّدت القوات المسلحة السودانية قوات وعتاداً ثقيلاً في ولاية القضارف، التي تتشارك حدوداً مباشرة مع غرب تيغراي وإقليم أمهرة الإثيوبي.

تحرك الجيش السوداني ليس مصادفة

ويرى التقرير أن هذا التزامن لم يأتِ مصادفةً، إذ إن الجغرافيا العسكرية تكشف الخطة بوضوح، فحين تتحرك قوات دفاع تيغراي من الشرق، والميليشيات الأمهرية الموالية للجبهة من الجنوب، فإن هذه القوات المتمركزة في السودان ستتحرك من الغرب، لتُطوَّق المنطقة من جميع الاتجاهات وتُشلّ قدرة الجيش الإثيوبي على الاستجابة.
أما على صعيد الحشد السياسي المعارض للحكومة الإثيوبية، فقد استضافت مدينة بورتسودان، العاصمة الفعلية لسلطة الأمر الواقع، حدثاً بالغ الدلالة تم تحت إشراف مباشر من جهاز المخابرات العامة السوداني، إذ أُقيم مؤتمر حركة "تسيمدو"، الذي يصفه التقرير بأنه "أول جبهة موحدة علنية تضم أطرافاً إقليمية حكومية وغير حكومية صراحةً في مواجهة حكومة أديس أبابا."
ضمّ هذا المؤتمر طيفاً واسعاً من الأطراف المناهضة لإثيوبيا، إذ جمع في قاعة واحدة أطرافاً مرتبطة بالحكومة الإريترية وقيادات من القوات المسلحة السودانية وفصائل منشقة عن جبهة تحرير أوغادين الوطنية، إلى جانب قوميين أمهريين بارزين وجماعات معارضة مسلحة هامشية متعددة.
وقد أفادت تقارير موقع Horn Review بأن السودان يعمل في هذا الإطار على وظيفتين متكاملتين، أولهما استضافة الجماعات الموالية للجبهة، وثانيهما العمل بوصفه ممراً لوجستياً لنقل الأسلحة إلى إقليم أمهرة الإثيوبي.

TPLF, Fano and OLA Join New Armed Coalition Seeking to Challenge Abiy Ahmed’s Government

Seven Ethiopian armed groups, including the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF), Amhara Fano forces, and the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA), have reportedly established a joint council aimed at coordinating military and political efforts against Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s government, marking a potentially significant development in Ethiopia’s evolving conflict landscape.

According to reports from local and regional sources, the alliance was formalized in early May following a series of meetings involving representatives of several armed movements operating across different parts of the country. The coalition is said to be working toward a common objective of challenging the federal government and laying the groundwork for a future transitional political arrangement.

The reported alliance brings together groups that have often pursued different political agendas, including the TPLF, Amhara Fano factions, the Oromo Liberation Army, the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF), and an armed faction from Ethiopia’s Afar region.

Political observers have noted that the participation of the TPLF represents a notable shift in the group’s recent rhetoric. Since relations between Mekelle and Addis Ababa deteriorated following disagreements over the implementation of the Pretoria peace agreement, sections of the TPLF leadership had increasingly focused on Tigray-centered political objectives. Its reported involvement in a broader anti-government coalition has therefore attracted significant attention.

Sources familiar with the discussions indicated that coalition members agreed to enhance military coordination while also exploring possible political frameworks that could emerge should the alliance succeed in its objectives.

Reports suggest that meetings linked to the coalition may have taken place inside Ethiopia, with some sources pointing to the Tigray regional capital, Mekelle, although details remain difficult to independently verify.

The emergence of the alliance has also fueled speculation regarding regional involvement. Some reports have alleged that Eritrea played a role in facilitating contacts between participating groups, although no official confirmation has been provided by Eritrean authorities.

The allegations come amid growing tensions between Addis Ababa and Asmara, as well as increasing uncertainty surrounding the future of the fragile peace process in northern Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian government has dismissed the significance of the reported coalition. Speaking after casting his vote during Ethiopia’s June 1 general election, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said forces seeking to destabilize the country with foreign backing would not succeed.

Meanwhile, prominent Fano commander Zemene Kassie recently called on supporters to prepare for what he described as a decisive phase in the struggle against the federal government. In a public message, he urged Ethiopians to unite against the current administration, describing the political confrontation as entering a critical stage.

The reported coalition emerges at a time of heightened insecurity across several regions of Ethiopia. Armed confrontations continue in parts of Amhara and Oromia regions, while political tensions remain elevated in Tigray despite the 2022 Pretoria peace agreement that formally ended the devastating two-year war between federal forces and the TPLF.

During the recent election period, armed groups in both Amhara and Oromia announced transport restrictions and movement bans, while reports of clashes continued to emerge from multiple locations.

Analysts say the formation of a broader anti-government alliance could further complicate Ethiopia’s security and political landscape, particularly as the country faces ongoing insurgencies, unresolved regional disputes, and growing concerns over national stability.

While the full scope and operational capacity of the reported coalition remain unclear, its formation underscores the persistent challenges confronting Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s government as Ethiopia navigates one of the most volatile periods in its recent history.

Heavy fighting was reported in Debre Libanos Woreda of North Shewa on June 7th after @afnm_official launched a coordinated offensive against @AbiyAhmedAli regime forces in the Fiche Selale area.

According to reports from the ground, the operation resulted in the capture of the Debre Libanos Woreda administrative center in Oromia Region, as well as the towns of Set Debir and Wusha Gedel, following two consecutive days of fighting.

Sources stated that the clashes involved regime forces supported by mortars and ZU-23 anti-aircraft guns. During the operation, local security officials and other personnel were reportedly wounded and evacuated to Fiche Hospital. The fighting reportedly expanded as far as Chagal town, with government forces retreating toward Fiche after suffering battlefield setbacks.

The reported capture of the three towns places Fano forces in control of territory near Fiche, a strategic town located approximately 113 kilometers north of Addis Ababa, marking one of the closest reported advances toward the Ethiopian capital since the war in the Amhara Region began.

Reports indicate that regime forces fighting on the Northern Gonder front, along the route from Dabat to Ajire, have been using FPV suicide drones in combat operations, and that one of the drones was reportedly captured intact.

According to the report, forces operating under the Amhara Fano National Movement (@afnm_official) Gonder command’s 208th Corps, specifically Regiment 1 of the former Ayalew Birru Division, had previously announced that regime forces were heavily defeated for four consecutive days on the Sara-Midir Gemes Kebele front in Debark Woreda before retreating back toward Debark carrying their dead and wounded.

The report further states that during the fighting, regime forces attempted to use two FPV drones to carry out attacks. AFNM accused the government of committing acts of terror against civilians through the drone operation.

According to the report, one of the drones exploded without causing any casualties, while the second reportedly failed to detonate and was captured intact by Fano fighters without causing damage.

Ayalew Birru Division of AFNM also issued a warning message to other Fano forces, stating that the government has begun employing new military tactics and urging fighters to remain vigilant.
