He is? How many of the QB’s has he “developed” are starting in the NFL? AFAIK only one is on a 53-man roster. And that guy went from #2 overall draft pick to journeyman. And I would not say Slovis was developed.

Of the 40 QBs ARod has “developed” in his career, only 2 were drafted, and only one remains in the NFL.

That’s some resume, compared to say, Jake Spavital in his career, currently at Baylor:

Brandon Weeden — 2012 1st-round pick
Johnny Manziel — 2014 1st-round pick, Heisman Trophy
Kyler Murray — 2019 No. 1 overall pick, NFL starter
Geno Smith — 2013 2nd-round pick, NFL starter/Pro Bowl

Case Keenum — undrafted, long NFL career

Lyons is on the preseason watch list.
Interestingly, in the last 4 years, of the players on PFF’s Top 10 returning TE’s, 75% of the Mackey winners were in the Top 10. (Tyler Warren being the exception) and the 3 were ranked #1 in PFF’s list.
That’s Trey’Dez Green, LSU this year.

The committee ain’t picking a team that lost to the same opponent 63-14 in the last month of the season. All BYU had to do was beat Texas Tech in the CCG. Why couldn’t they? They played them once already? They lost worse the 2nd time.

And it’s ESPN that funds the SEC, ACC, B12, not the other way around. That’s how TV contracts work.
