Where there’s smoke, there’s....health risks for vulnerable groups. Child's #asthma death a grim reminder that wildfire🔥poses a risk, especially to kids, elders and those with chronic health conditions, by @picardonhealth https://t.co/Dfefg5yx5v via @GlobeDebate#COPD

Our Park Place patients received a LOVE-ly surprise today 💕
Students from Connaught Public School & Sir Winston Churchill Public School made Valentine's Day cards for our patients - and based on those smiles, we'd say they simply adored them!

We are currently seeing a very high number of patients, and wait times may be longer than usual. We are currently at 113% overall occupancy, with patients in surge spaces and 31 patients admitted in our ED, waiting for a bed. #ottnews 1/3
Our ED is seeing a higher volume of patients and significant wait times.
Patients are presenting with higher acuity – meaning they’re sicker and require more care and some need to be admitted.
This morning, we had 30 patients waiting to be admitted in our ED. That’s high.
Spending the afternoon with senior leadership delivering tea and treats to Team QCH - a long-standing holiday tradition we do every year.
Our first stop: ED!
Thank you to @QCHPresident and Sherri Cannon for the tour of the brand-new Barbara Crook & Dan Greenberg Mental Health Centre at @QCHOttawa. This facility is an important addition to QCH & I'm so happy to see that it is already supporting patients in need of this vital care.
