QCPD will be conducting high visibility enforcement at Ocotillo Rd and Rittenhouse Rd on Tuesday, May 19 between 2:30 - 5:30 p.m.

QCPD will conduct HiVE traffic enforcement at Ellsworth Rd & Riggs Rd on 5/12 from 6:30–8:30 a.m. & 4:30–6:30 p.m.
The goal of HiVE efforts is safer roads for everyone, and these notices are part of that effort by promoting awareness, visibility, and responsible driving habits.

Apr 24, 2026 at approx 6:45 a.m. QCPD responded to reports of possible gunshots at Queen Creek High School. Campus locked down, and buses rerouted as a precaution. QCPD has cleared the campus - at this point there is no evidence of shots fired or active threat. Lockdown lifted.
Traffic Alert ⚠️
Power Road is closed in both directions south of Chandler Heights due to an emergency repair. The closure is anticipated through Monday, April 27.
Access to businesses in that area will be maintained. Please use the alternative route on Sossaman Road.

Increased QCPD presence on campus as a precaution.
QCPD is committed to the safety of our community, especially our youth. Report suspicious activity or safety concerns immediately by calling non-emergency at 480-358-3500 (9-1-1 in an emergency).
QCPD is investigating a reported incident near QCJHS - student said an individual threatened him with a gun. The incident did not occur on campus.
School is on lockdown as a precaution. Parents are asked not to come to campus.

QCPD will be conducting High Visibility Enforcement at Ellsworth Rd & Riggs Rd on Tues, Apr. 14 during:
6:30–8:30 a.m. 4:30–6:30 p.m.

Drive to Arrive.
Traffic Alert: WB and EB Riggs Rd is closed between Power Rd and Sossaman Rd due to a crash. Expect delays in the area and find an alternate route if possible. #QueenCreekTraffic
QCPD will conduct a training exercise at 22240 S. Ellsworth Rd. on Monday, March 23, from 8 a.m.–5 p.m.
Expect a high police presence and loud noises similar to fireworks and amplified sounds in the area. This is part of the exercise and is no cause for alarm.
QCPD will be conducting training exercises this afternoon at the Gail A. Barney Public Safety Support Facility located at 22050 E Queen Creek Rd.
There is no danger to the community.
