Photos from what is currently happening at Herzog Park—situated in the only area in Ireland that has maintained a significant Jewish presence.

The organisers were told they were not allowed to have this ‘event’. This is a blatant act of intimidation and provocation of Ireland’s Jewish community and everyone knows it. Indeed, they have basically admitted this themselves—please see attached in the comment below a screenshot from their Instagram stories that reads ‘Garda and Zionists out get down now.’

They are specifically looking to antagonise and cause fear in a local community. We will not let them.

Thank you to An Garda Síochána, there is heavy Garda presence at Herzog Park right now and for that we are grateful. Thank you to the non-Jewish local residents who have come out in support of their Jewish neighbours to protest this. Thank you to the Irish public and commentariat who overwhelmingly do not condone this despicable act of intimidation and have ben very vocal on that score.

Whatever one’s opinion on Israel/Palestine, every decent Irish person knows this bullying of a minority group is wrong. It is incumbent on us all, as equal sons and daughters of this nation, to be united against it. This is not who we are.
