Huge thanks to our professional partners who helped make our ‘F1 in Schools’ project such a great experience for students on the Engineering Pathway ! That's Heidi Bell Design and Skew Energetics plus Atkinson Vos and P. Irving & Sons Timber. Thank you! https://t.co/wvo7IssWjD
Time for the annual soldering of Christmas trees with Yr10. Some diligent use of their electronics knowledge and no major burns to skin or PCBs. #STEM#STEMeducation#Engineering ##
Yr10 Engineers soldering their way to the end of term. There’s (flashing) lights at the end of the tunnel with some Christmas tree electronics projects #Engineering#STEM
Yr10 Engineers have been calculating and then testing the mechanical advantage of different pulley systems today. Trying to lighten the load #engineering#STEM
The wind tunnel is starting to take shape. The fan is now fitted, the "smoke" generator unit is in development and some prototypes of the modules for the settling chamber have been manufactured.
Thanks to @JDF for the loan of some kit for our Engineers to work on. They have disassembled and reassembled various components and are producing a record of their work
Thank you to Richard Mellor @DenfordHQ for the CNC router training today (and for battling the weather to get here too!) We are ready to start manufacturing.........
Thanks to Guy Thompson @IrvingTimber for the very generous donation of equipment and resources to support the pneumatics and maintenance sections of our course. Much appreciated! https://t.co/pTalJ6ciAd
Thanks very much to Frank and Joe at @Brokkinc (UK) for allowing our Yr10 Engineers to get a handle of some of the technology used in their robots and finding out about the business, as well as operating some very expensive machinery! #STEM#EngineeringUK
The year 11 students doing engine oil changes as part of the engineering maintenance topic. Thanks to Mr Butterworth for all his hard work on this project.
Thank you to @Unimogs_UK, Simon and Frank in particular, for hosting our Yr10 Engineers yesterday. A great time spent by all looking at gears, levers and pneumatics, as well as finding out more about the structure and workings of a local, yet global, company #STEM#Engineering
