@heathrowbaker@JDVance Why do you think there is housing constraints you idiot. Surely you can piece together the mystery that massive influx of immigration causing uncontrollable population growth causes Housing Constrains..
@peterboghossian His initial post got something like 300k likes though. The issue is the same as when the New York post "accidently" makes the same mistake - they bury the apology and 300k ppl still believe that he said that
@worldhockeyrpt Well that could have had Holloway, Wallman, Broberg and Pods for the same amount if they just didn't sign Skinner/Arvie. The idea of keeping youth for multiple runs with Drai/McDavid would have been a lot smarter too
@MikeBartner Honestly, I think with a new goalie coach he has a shot. Schwartz was an idiot and the fact Skinner never made any strides in lateral movement or puck tracking over the years is so bad for a goaltending coach. His most obvious deficiencies remained
@CalCameron09@nielsonTSN1260 Add 6 games, honestly there is absolutely no place for spitting on someone. It shouldn't even be a question, if you spit on someone you deserve the hammer
@jeresells@JackieBee_16 He didn't get a pay day the contract he signed was far below what market value for a player like that is. It was actually probably the best value contract in the legue last season, something that EDM sure could have used.. He got paid 2.2M, and played at a production of a 8M LW
@JackieBee_16 Holloway was never a premadonna. He wasn't holding out for 12M like Mitch, the offer was 2.2M. An absolute no brainer to match that.
And guess what, he finished 12th in scoring for Left wingers last season, absolutely proving that Jeff Jackson is an idiot.
@Youngerngunner@97OrangeCrush29 He was the 12th best at his position last year. That is a game changing player.
Are you really gonna argue against the fact that if we replaced the LW that was 700th in scoring for one who was 12th in scoring we would not improve at all. Stop being a retard bro
@Youngerngunner@97OrangeCrush29 He was almost a point a game winger last year you idiot! He was the 12th highest scoring left winger in the league.
More than both Tkachuks and Knies. He had 19 more points than Zach Hyman. And we could have got him at 2.2M. You can't be this dense.
@97OrangeCrush29@Youngerngunner Did I say that?
I am saying EDM with Holloway is a better team than EDM without and that meant they had a worse chance of winning in the SCF
@97OrangeCrush29@Youngerngunner Hyman got hurt to, should we consider him a bust?
The fact that you are justifying arvie/skinner over keeping Holloway tells me everything I need to know about you.
@coopsie39 And St Louis got an almost point a game player and Edmonton lost there best young forward for nothing. So he was right and the edmonton brass as usual blew it.
The reality is Edmonton screwed up with how they handled it, and lost a very good player.
@97OrangeCrush29@Youngerngunner Funny how you left Arvie and skinner off that list. Not to mention Holloway was almost a point per game last year, higher than anyone you listed including RNH. I think you just don't know puck
@Youngerngunner@97OrangeCrush29 Mhm, yes he was an issue. The other issue was a forward core who had no depth after hymans injury - something Holloway would have helped with.
I'm not saying we would have won for sure with him, but we absolutely would have been a better team +1M extra cap space
@97OrangeCrush29 Could have had Holloway on top of all that. His money was allocated to Skinner, actually, more than what he would have been paid. And he was proven at the NHL level.
I have hope for Ike and Savoie, but a good outcome would be if they become the player holloway is today
@Youngerngunner@97OrangeCrush29 And I'd argue McLeod would have helped too with his play on the PK which they were atrocious in this past playoffs.
The issue is Florida got better up front and Edmonton got worse, so the series wasn't as close
@Youngerngunner@97OrangeCrush29 The forward group as a whole was worse this year than the previous. Him, Foegle, McLeod out for arviddson and Skinner was a big reason why. They made it on the stregnth of Defence, and then fell apart due to lack of scoring depth. He would have helped.
