This is the largest easel painting I have ever created back in 1975, "Composition in Red, White and Blue", 72 x 112 inches/Oil on Canvas for the 1976 Bicentennial and is now part of a traveling exhibition "Gary Erbe: Magical World" which is comprised of 50 works. The exhibition at The Butler Institute of American Art ends today, then travels to Reading Public Museum, Reading, PA, May 23-August 2, 2026 and continues to Fort Wayne Museum of Art, Fort Wayne, IN, August 22-October 25, 2026.

Yesterday, Zeny and I visited the Reading Public Museum in Reading, PA. I was very surprised to see a banner announcing my forthcoming solo exhibition which will open on May 23-August 2, 2026. I look forward to the exhibition and appreciate the Museum interests in my work. The reception is scheduled for May 21, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. and a PowerPoint lecture the following day starting at 1 p.m.

I was very pleased with the installation of my work and the opening reception was well attented despite the bad weather.
