Last night, at an awards ceremony in London, Queen Margaret's School for Girls was named SMALL INDEPENDENT SCHOOL OF THE YEAR at the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2023! We are so proud of the entire QM Family for this achievement.

Last night, our LVI @QueenMargarets scholars, Lucinda and Zoe had their brass quartet compositions performed professionally Selby Abbey after attending a fantastic course supported by @NYMAZmusic, @BrassBandsEng. It was utterly inspiring and we are so, so proud of you both!

It was a pleasure to welcome students from @TerringtonHall to QM for a Music Masterclass this week. Led by @QM_MUSIC staff, their Dr Who-themed sessions culminated in a brilliant collaboration with the QM orchestra, much to the delight of the audience in the theatre!

Exceptionally proud of our @QueenMargarets Chamber Choir for their wonderful Choral Evensong last night. Thank you to our parents for coming to support the girls - they have made such huge progress this term and are a joy to work with!

Our @QueenMargarets GCSE Music class of 22 have grown so much as musicians through the @eduqas GCSE course - and an outstanding result for each of them as a result! Onwards and upwards in Sixth Form now! Congratulations!

Incredibly excited to be performing Mozart's Clarinet Concerto with @yms_uk in @York_Minster on Saturday 18th June! Also on the programme is Mozart's Requiem & Haydn's Insanae et vanae curae, all conducted by the brilliant @DCJPipeOrganist. I cannot wait!

Sandra is Senior Vocal Tutor at the Royal Northern College of Music and a world-class soprano.
