In all of the busyness and business of the days that we're in I have to stop and say a heartfelt thank you to the women of Quilts of Valor in Madison County, especially quilter Kim Hamby - they honored my military service yesterday along with several other local veterans by giving me a handmade quilt made just for me.

This amazing nonprofit organization made up of dedicated volunteers makes handmade patriotic quilts for Idaho veterans touched by war. It’s an honor bestowed upon them for their service and sacrifice to our great country.
Grab the tissues. We will take you to a beautiful and emotional ceremony at the Warhawk Air Museum where 38 of our veterans received their quilts tonight on @KTVB at 10.

Todd H. was awarded his Quilt of Valor at the American Legion National Convention in Tampa, Florida, this past weekend. His quilt was pieced and quilted by Beverly Chriswell, a member of Tangled Threads and awarded by Freedom Stitchers of Florida.
