Solar power has the potential to lower costs, create good jobs, and deliver cleaner air.
With these funds from the Inflation Reduction Act, we’ll make sure the families who face the worst climate impacts are first in line for clean, affordable energy.

Big win for Team Massachusetts! ☀️
With a statewide strategy that combines housing affordability and climate action, we’re bringing home $156M in federal dollars for solar energy – the largest award in New England. Grateful to @POTUS and our stellar congressional delegation.
Broadband infrastructure. Clean water infrastructure. Child care is infrastructure too.
The supplemental budget @MassGovernor signed last week invests in them all.
Too many caring, passionate child care workers are changing careers because they’re overworked and underpaid.
That’s why our budget calls for $475M in grants that early ed and care centers can use to increase wages, hire more staff, and invest in training.
Today, I signed an Executive Order creating our Latino Empowerment Council. There’s so much knowledge, expertise, and lived experience here in this room and together, we’ll take on the challenges facing Massachusetts’ Latino communities and center equity in all that we do.
The Latino community is the fastest-growing in the state, making Massachusetts stronger every day.
Tomorrow, I'll sign an Executive Order creating our Latino Empowerment Council. Together, we'll expand opportunity and improve equity across the Commonwealth.
On #TransDayOfVisibility, I’m thinking of our trans and gender diverse neighbors. Know that you are seen and valued here in Massachusetts.
You deserve to be happy and healthy.
You deserve to be safe and respected.
You deserve to live as your full, authentic self.
Free school meals mean full stomachs, more time in the morning, and more money back in the pockets of parents. Our supplemental budgets would extend free school meals for everyone through the 2023-2024 school year.
Too many kids are going hungry at school because of the stigma of food insecurity. It’s heartbreaking.
We want to continue the universal school meals program through the 2023-2024 school year, and we’re looking at the best way to keep it up long term.
Thank you @MassGovernor@MassLtGov for the opportunity to serve in your administration. We have a once-in-a-generation opportunity to leverage federal funds to move MA forward on climate, clean energy, transportation, innovation, and jobs. I’m so excited to get to work! #mapoli
Massachusetts has the chance to harness federal dollars to make progress on big projects—but we need to compete.
Today, I announced that @qpalfrey is joining our administration as Director of Federal Funds and Infrastructure to spearhead these efforts.
I'm honored to serve as the next Governor of our Commonwealth. Thank you for placing your trust in me, and thank you for believing in Massachusetts.
Let's get to work.
On Veteran’s Day, we honor those who have served. Your sacrifice not only protects our Democracy, but your generosity and bravery are an example for us all. Thank you.
