The @MBTA’s Draw One Bridge carries 200K passengers in and out of Boston each week. After almost a century, it’s time for an upgrade.
We reached an agreement with @MetroBTC to deliver this $1.2B project on time, on budget, to the highest standards — and create 15K jobs.
We just secured one of the largest Project Labor Agreements in state history to replace the @MBTA's Draw One bridge. What does that mean?
✅ A project that's time and on budget
✅ A bridge built to last
✅ Thousands of good-paying jobs
✅ Faster, safer commutes
These awards will support a range of housing, climate, and transportation projects spanning from Western MA all the way to the Cape & Islands. Congratulations to all of our awardees!
FFIO is thrilled to announce we've awarded $1.9 million in grants to support local infrastructure projects across the state! The grants were made via our Municipal and Tribal Technical Assistance (MTTA) and Technical Assistance for Regional Planning Agencies (TARPA) programs.
BIG NEWS: Universal broadband coverage is coming to Massachusetts.
Access to the internet isn't a luxury. It's how folks find work, connect with loved ones and get government services. With final approval from @ntiagov, we're bringing broadband to communities statewide.
In 2025, we got road, bridge and rail projects moving again. We cut ribbons, broke ground, and restored @MBTA_CR service to the South Coast for the first time in 60 years.
Safer roads, stronger bridges, and better connections between communities — that’s real progress.
Municipal and tribal leaders! Join us for our virtual Federal Funds Partnership meeting on 12/9 at 2 pm! Agenda:

2. @MassDOT's Grant Central Program🛣️
3. The EPA's Brownfields program and @MassDEP resources🌿
Massachusetts is the Innovation State — and we’re proud of it.
Steep federal research cuts don’t just hurt scientists. They hurt builders, small businesses, and patients counting on a cure.
I testified on my DRIVE Act to protect our economy, create jobs, and save lives.
Two out of every five jobs created by federal research funding aren’t in research. They’re jobs in lab construction, at local restaurants, in transportation and warehouses. @MassGovernor is taking action to protect them with the DRIVE Initiative!
BIG NEWS: I’m announcing the DRIVE Initiative – Discovery, Research, and Innovation for a Vibrant Economy. It’s a $400M investment in world-changing research and the tens of thousands of jobs it creates.
Let’s keep Massachusetts the #1 state for innovation.
For every dollar invested in scientific research, Massachusetts sees double the economic benefit.
New jobs.
New businesses.
New cures and discoveries.
That's what the DRIVE Initiative is all about. Investing in discovery is good for the world — and it’s a good deal.
