Can I encourage any other @QStepLeeds students, past or present to speak to Sophie if asked. She is working on developing a network for Leeds Qsteppers. She's so friendly and has some great ideas.
Whilst on a student placement with @sustrans, Matthew Dallas from @QStepLeeds played a key role in producing a paper investigating travel and transport in Scotland which was presented @STARconference
in May.

What a brilliant day! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Glad I stayed for the whole day. Especially pleased to hear that @QStepLeeds has got funding for another 2 years. #IdeasinPractice#LUBSevent
@sgallacher65@NuffieldFound Thanks Simon - a brilliant presentation as always. Thanks for all your contributions today - it was a really useful and enjoyable event for us.
Just had it pointed out to me that I am presenting at this event. So, if anyone fancies listening to a (slightly surprised) person telling you how @QStepLeeds helped me find an amazing career (quite true), do come along.
@writing_back@QStepLeeds @chimpfromthezoo Fascinating, thank you for this detailed response! The loneliness theme overlaps with some of what we found in our resilience study at the University; perhaps we could share findings?
@Parkendlydia@QStepLeeds @chimpfromthezoo Hi Lydia, yes, nearly all UGs are studying English or with English degrees from across all years of study (1-4 incl years in industry/abroad - although letter writing might lapse during year out). All UGs are from @LeedsUniEnglish but a few might have changed degrees.
@writing_back@QStepLeeds @chimpfromthezoo Lots of really interesting data there (and I love the project!). Were UG respondents drawn across different years of study? And are you able to look at the data across subject areas? Thanks in advance :)
@QStepLeeds testimonial from @Liv_Archer on placement at @thackraymuseum: "QStep has taught me so many new skills, from data analysis to the organisation and research skills needed to be successful working in museums"
Today is the final day of our @QStepLeeds intern @chimpfromthezoo's placement. Jonathan's report on our data shows that whilst our #penpals try to stay involved with things, our students in particular would like more companionship or contact with others. #EndLoneliness#BeMoreUs
