The Quest to bring the best in class FDA approved AI/CAD product to our Radiologist continues as we announced our alliance with @GEHealthcare today! #ABUS & #QVCAD are game changing solutions for ultrasound screening in your practice. See you at @RSNA - https://t.co/IVjSdYvZwG
@BreastDense@oncodaily@OncoDailyBreast Siobhan - thank you for your continued “call for action” but we need more than that we need insurance coverage for a supplemental screening and the most cost-effective way is with breast ultrasound
@BreastDense@oncodaily Siobhan - this is such a difficult journey for you and all of Ireland when doing computer aided detection for mammography ( R2 Technology 1996 ) we realized breast density played a major role in missing cancers. In the USA it took until 2024 for the regulatory to make it a legal
@BreastDense Siobhan Bob Foley here I have spent 30 years on early detection with imaging and software. The first thing to know is “screening is effective”but limited when a women has breast density. All that mammography will find for women under 50 is 50 % dense so just request ultrasound
@BreastDense I am in the states and have worked in early detection of breast cancer for 30 plus years . No one should have to tell you that you have Breast density - if you are under 50 40% have #densebreasts demand ultrasound
Much press on Task Force recommendations to breast screening at 40. Thanks, ACR for continuing to recommend screening at age 40. Now lets work on insurance coverage and breast screening with ultrasound for upto 80% of those women in their 40s who have dense tissue.
@katiefar
Applaud you for your brave article in NYT and brave battle -- dreams can change people, and you have lived it. so many have lived your cancer without dreams. You had the usual discussions with MDs for 36-year-olds - too young, probably a cyst
Do we have to wait for an FDA update on #breastdensity - we know the cost effective next step. #QVCAD assist in reading #ABUS exams. what is your nect step when you get your density letter? #amidense#Densebreasts
@Jeff_Reppucci jeff say the alum news at holy cross (I am class of 62)-- congrats my wife and I live in Palo alto
if you need a break or home cooked mea. give a call 650-483-8988l
@maryamzm a necessary focus - but CDRH has an immediate responsibility to release MQSA regulations on adjunct screening for young women with breast density - high risk where mammograohy is limited
Understanding Density Matters! @mydensitymatter it was great to meet @RSNA and discuss how we can collaborate on DENSITY! Many women have questions and the more we talk about it the more lives we can save! Let’s enable women to know more! #RSNA21#Density#AskQuestions#Edu
