Mrs. Charlotte Kainerugaba, Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) Ambassador has launched a National Blood Donation Drive, today. PPH is a condition also known as excessive bleeding after childbirth. This drive is intended to collect blood to save mothers who suffer from PPH in addition to other conditions that require blood.

The Ministry of Health was led by Permanent Secretary, Dr. @DianaAtwine.

18 school buses transporting children from educational trips were intercepted last night at the Njeru Checkpoint.

In line with @Educ_SportsUg's directive suspending school trips & prohibiting night travel for schools already on trips, the buses were escorted to a safe parking area where they remained until morning.

They will be escorted by @PoliceUg to their respective destinations. Schools already on trips are reminded not to travel at night. Instead, they should report to the nearest Police station for guidance & where necessary a Police escort.

All return journeys must be undertaken between 6:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m.
